Whispers Behind the Glass

Julian D'Aurelius pushed open the door to his personal cabin.

A huge room stretched out, taking up almost an entire level just for one person. Right in the middle sat a lengthy walnut desk, its surface gleaming softly under light spilling down from a hanging chandelier. Backing the workspace, shelves ran wall to wall, stacked with old leather books, stacks of business papers, plus some odd antiques handed down by his grandfather - who claimed they added depth, whatever that meant

Beneath him, a Persian rug muffled the cold marble underfoot. Off to one side, a compact lounge featured a dark leather couch, along with a glass decanter resting nearby. On the opposite edge, tucked away, sat a personal bathroom combo - handy when hours passed without pause.

The real highlight? That huge glass wall stretching from floor to ceiling.
