Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: Tatum’s Complete Victory, Crazy Provocation of Celtics Fans

"Swish!"

Turning around, the Boston Celtics showed no mercy; this time, Jaylen Brown was the one to score.

From the elbow, Brown received a pass from Irving, then went one-on-one against Carmelo, faking a shot out of the triple threat to get Carmelo off balance.

Brown then smoothly drove to the basket, absorbed Lopez's help defense, and finished with a reverse layup.

15:7!

The Boston Celtics still controlled the situation on the court.

Every one of the Celtics' starting five had scored since the opening tip, and their efficiency was remarkably high.

More importantly, they exerted immense defensive pressure on the Clippers.

Even Rivers on the sidelines looked a bit helpless.

The Celtic's starting lineup was indeed terrifying.

However, while the Boston Celtics had their starting five, the Clippers had Kai Chen.

Beverley received the inbound pass and, before even crossing midcourt, passed the ball to the waiting Kai.

Kai took the ball and immediately sprinted forward. Facing Jayson Tatum's defense, he reached beyond the three-point line in just a few steps.

Tatum stayed tight, tracking every move, expecting another drive.

But—

Upon reaching the arc, Kai suddenly pulled the ball between his legs, stopped on a dime, then shifted one step left, creating separation.

A fadeaway three went up.

"Swish!"

The basketball sliced through the air like a drawn blade, delivering a fatal strike.

This guy…

Tatum stared at Kai's retreating figure in surprise. He hadn't expected the shot at all; it was so sudden it nearly felt like a trailing dagger.

"You're completely different from your college days, Kai!"

Tatum grinned, as if he'd found interesting prey, his competitive fire igniting.

"Jayson, people have to look forward," Kai replied while retreating on defense. "You can't guard me now."

Boston picked up the pace.

This time, Irving's one-on-one against Beverley failed. Carmelo grabbed the rebound and immediately found Kai.

Kai pushed the ball upcourt at blistering speed. Tatum chased hard and only managed to cut him off near midcourt.

"Don't even think about shooting another three!"

Tatum blocked his path at the top of the arc, eyes locked on Kai.

Kai stopped, gathered, and rose as if to shoot.

Tatum jumped to contest.

But Kai smiled midair. The shot turned into a pass—his right arm shielding the ball as he flicked it to Carmelo cutting in from the wing.

Carmelo caught it cleanly and finished an easy three-step layup.

"Fuck!"

Tatum's irritation finally surfaced. Getting fooled twice in a row left him fuming.

In a blink, the deficit shrank to 15:12, the Clippers down just three.

"It's no exaggeration to say Kai Chen's scoring ability is already top-tier in the NBA!"

In the broadcast booth, Kenny Smith exclaimed with excitement.

Boston attacked again.

At the top of the arc, Tatum caught Irving's pass and drove at Kai.

Kai stayed glued to him, feet perfectly aligned with Tatum's path.

Unable to break through, Tatum kicked it out to Horford.

Horford tried backing down Lopez but got stonewalled.

Jeff Green secured the rebound and ignited the break.

Led by Kai, the Clippers floored it, reaching the frontcourt in an instant.

Irving and Tatum recovered, but the trio's coordination overwhelmed them, and Carmelo drilled a deep three.

15:15!

The game was tied.

After three straight defensive stops, the Clippers' momentum surged.

Boston, by contrast, grew impatient. Irving forced a drive, hoping to score before the defense set.

Jeff Green slid over from the wing like a descending god and smashed the shot away.

Beverley secured the ball and immediately looked upcourt—Kai was already gone.

"Whoosh!"

A quarterback-style cross-court pass sailed straight to Kai.

Tatum took massive strides in pursuit.

But without the ball, Kai was even faster, the gap widening with every step.

Catching the pass cleanly at the arc, Kai took one step inside the free-throw line.

Under Tatum's stunned gaze, Kai exploded upward, body fully extended like Superman, and hammered the ball home with one hand.

"Boom!"

TD Garden erupted. The crowd froze, stunned by the elegance and violence of the dunk.

After landing, Kai turned to the sideline and raised a finger to his lips.

"Shhh~~~"

"Fuck you, Kai Chen, you fucking bitch!"

"What the fuck are you? How dare you do that in TD Garden?"

"Stupid Bitch, I'll fuck your sister!"

The arena exploded with rage as fans leapt to their feet, hurling abuse.

Kai ignored them. As he jogged back, he stopped in front of Tatum and stared him down.

He didn't speak. His mischievous smile said everything.

"Kai, don't get cocky," Tatum snapped.

"I declare that your performance ends here."

"Is that so?"

Kai watched as Tatum crossed midcourt, eyes subtly drifting to the ball in his hands.

Just as Tatum made his move, Kai lunged forward and slapped at the ball with lightning speed.

"Slap!"

Kai poked it free and won the race, snatching possession before Tatum could react.

Tatum spun around in shock, helpless as Kai stormed the other way and finished with a vicious one-handed tomahawk.

"Beep!"

Boston head coach Stevens finally lost patience and sprinted onto the court to call a timeout.

Kai, fresh off another dunk, didn't forget the crowd.

"Cheer louder for me!"

He stood at center court, arms spread, eyes closed, soaking in the thunder of boos.
