Chapter 407 - Chapter 383: Loki and the Stage Play

On the streets of London, where order had been restored, Sersi returned to her friend.

"Hey, are you okay?", Dane walked over and looked at Sersi with concern.

"I'm fine."

"Sorry, Dane."

"I dragged you into this."

"This has nothing to do with you. You should hurry home," Sersi held Dane's hand, her tone sincere and her gaze earnest.

Dane smiled, "I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight anyway. How about you tell me the story of that monster and your people?"

Sprite, who looked like a twelve-year-old girl, said, "Haven't I already told you these stories?"

Sersi helplessly glanced at her companion, who would forever remain in the form of a child.

"What? It's not like he'll believe it even if I tell him."

"Besides, I never expected the Deviants to still be alive. I thought they'd been completely wiped out five thousand years ago," Sprite looked innocent.

Just then, a familiar voice sounded behind them.

"Are you all okay?"

All three turned around at the same time. A man in a formal suit was walking toward them.

"Ikaris!"

Sprite cheered and ran over, throwing her arms around the man.

Sersi also looked at him in disbelief, "Ikaris, what are you doing here?"

Among their people, Ikaris was the strongest fighter. He was proud and aloof, with a soldier-like mindset that emphasized following orders and carrying them out.

He could fly at high speeds and fire beams of cosmic energy from his eyes.

Among those of their kind who had remained on Earth, only the female warrior Thena could stand against him.

Ikaris patted Sprite on the back and said, "There was a global earthquake not long ago. I was a little worried, so I came to check on you."

"On my way here, I think I saw a Deviant. My eyes weren't playing tricks on me, were they?"

Sprite raised her head, "No, you saw it right. That really was a Deviant, but it was driven away by someone called the 'Conqueror.'"

"You should have come sooner, Ikaris. Something was wrong with that Deviant."

"It could actually heal its own injuries, just like Ajak. And there was something strange about its eyes."

"I even thought it was about to speak."

Ikaris narrowed his eyes slightly, "The Conqueror?"

"A Deviant with regenerative abilities?"

Sprite nodded.

On the other side, Dane looked at Sersi and asked quietly, "I'm guessing he's your ex-boyfriend?"

Sersi nodded, then walked toward Ikaris, "The Deviants are back. We should gather our fellow Eternals."

Ikaris nodded solemnly, "I was thinking the same thing."

———

[Africa, the capital of Wakanda]

A stage had been set up in the large plaza in the center of the city.

A stage play was being performed on it.

The actors had dressed themselves up as Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, and others.

Of all of them, Loki's costume and portrayal looked the most realistic and convincing.

The play was about the Avengers fighting Thanos.

The actor playing Thanos was under attack from various members of the Avengers.

Beside the stage, a narrator was delivering his lines with great passion.

"Look! Facing the most ruthless and powerful enemy in the universe, Thanos!"

"The Avengers have not backed down. They have launched a fierce assault against Thanos."

"Iron Man's intelligent armor has devised a strategy for fighting Thanos. He attacks Thanos with laser cannons, trying to distract him."

"Unfortunately, Thanos possesses the Infinity Stones, and his power far exceeds the limits that artificial intelligence can predict. Iron Man is sent flying in an instant."

"Then the Hulk, who possesses immense strength, steps forward to face the challenge."

"His strength is unmatched. He has never known defeat."

"Unfortunately, the opponent he faces today is Thanos."

"Thanos uses the Infinity Stones to interfere with the Hulk, preventing him from concentrating. In the end, the Hulk is defeated as well."

"Next to take the stage is Thor, known as the strongest Avenger. Loki's elder brother commands the power of thunder."

"His power strikes fear into the hearts of countless enemies."

"Having defeated countless powerful foes, he possesses a wealth of combat experience."

"Thus, Thor immediately unleashes thunderbolts against Thanos, only for Thanos to neutralize every attack."

"After numerous attacks accomplish nothing, even the brave and fearless Thor feels the frustration of defeat and helplessness."

"Is there really no one who can defeat Thanos?"

"No!"

"We still have Loki!"

"The little prince of Asgard possesses unparalleled intelligence and is also a great sorcerer skilled in illusions."

"Watch as Loki creates countless illusions, leaving Thanos unable to distinguish reality from illusion. At last, the real Loki silently approaches Thanos and slits the evil overlord's throat with his dagger, saving the Avengers and saving Earth."

On the other side of the stage, T'Challa, the king of Wakanda, was sitting on an elevated platform watching the performance. At that moment, he stood up and applauded enthusiastically.

"Brilliant!"

"Absolutely brilliant."

"Don't you think so, little sister?"

Shuri rolled her eyes.

"Brother, I don't know what the point of a stage play like this is."

"Besides, that's not what actually happened."

"It was Lord 'Conqueror' who killed Thanos, not this clown who only knows how to perform magic tricks."

T'Challa raised one finger, "First of all, illusions aren't magic tricks. They're magic. Great magic, little sister."

"Secondly, Loki isn't a clown. I met him in New York. He's the wisest person I've ever met."

"I'm not exaggerating when I say that no one in the entire universe can match his wisdom."

"It's a pity that everyone underestimated him."

Shuri shook her head, "You're acting strange, brother."

"Ever since Lord 'Conqueror' left, why have you suddenly started worshipping Loki?"

"Not only did you have a statue erected for him, but you also wrote a whole stage play about him. Nobody even likes it, okay?"

T'Challa flashed a row of white teeth, "But look, everyone's watching with attention."

"No. Look more closely. Everyone's practically falling asleep," Shuri corrected him.

Just as the siblings began arguing, a mass of dark blue flames suddenly appeared on the stage.

Then someone stepped out of the flames.

Shuri's eyes lit up, "Lord Conqueror!"

Alex teleported over from London.

As soon as he appeared, he saw a Wakandan dressed as Thanos clutching his throat and slowly collapsing.

Behind him was an actor dressed as Loki. Loki was white, but this actor had dark skin, making the portrayal look rather out of place.

"What the hell?"

"Since when did Wakanda get into stage plays?"

"Wait, Loki's the main character?"

"This feels so awkward."

Alex grumbled to himself.

He had teleported straight from London and didn't care about the Eternals' situation at all.

What he needed to do now was advance his own life level in the Marvel Universe and become a god.

Therefore, Alex had no intention of getting involved in the Eternals' events. Otherwise, after accidentally saving Sersi just now, he could have used that opportunity to get closer to the main characters involved in the events, rather than teleporting straight to Wakanda.
