Chapter 3 - The Building Is Empty

"Yusuke… what you said just now… is it true?"

An elder of the Uchiha clan looked at Uchiha Yusuke, his body trembling slightly.

Yusuke nodded firmly."It's true."

"Then why didn't you—"

"Why didn't you tell us earlier?"

Yusuke interrupted him and slowly looked around. He could see the same question reflected in everyone's eyes.

"Have you ever thought about the consequences if I had told you earlier?" he asked calmly."This secret would inevitably leak. The village would order me to lead people to conquer that world."

"And if I refused?"

"They would use the lives of the Uchiha clan—young and old alike—to force me."

"At that point, the clan would truly have no way out at all."

"But… can we really survive in that world?" an elder asked hesitantly."There are many powerful people there."

Leaving their homeland and entering a completely unfamiliar world made many people uneasy.

"Don't worry," Yusuke said calmly."Although there are many strong individuals in that world, they are not all gathered in one place."

"That world is extremely chaotic."

"With the strength of the Uchiha clan, if we develop freely, we have a very real chance of becoming a major power."

Hearing this, the hearts of many young clan members began to race.

What young person hadn't dreamed of opening new territory and carving out a future of their own? Yet here, they could only act as guards within the village.

"But… I'm still unwilling to leave like this!"

"Exactly!""This village was founded by the Uchiha clan—yet now we're being forced to flee in disgrace!"

Nearly all the Uchiha present had been born and raised in Konoha. Naturally, they regarded it as their home.

They didn't hate Konoha itself.

What they hated were Konoha's higher-ups—and the villagers who harbored prejudice against the Uchiha clan.

"I know everyone feels unwilling," Yusuke said."I feel the same way."

"But this is reality."

"If you want to raise your head high one day, you must first learn to lower it."

"And we are not leaving forever."

"We need time—time to grow stronger."

"When we return, we won't secretly plan a coup in the shadows."

"We'll take everything back—openly."

"Take it back!"

"Take it back!"

The young members of the clan were instantly fired up. Yusuke's words struck straight at their hearts.

Uchiha Fugaku frowned, deep in thought.

If what Yusuke said was true, then this was indeed an opportunity—perhaps the only one.

"Then when do we leave?" Fugaku asked.

"Now," Yusuke replied.

"Now?" Fugaku was startled.

"Now is the perfect time," Yusuke said calmly."Everyone in the clan is already gathered here."

"And Konoha has already begun to move."

Fugaku's expression changed instantly."Move? You mean—?!"

"Konoha's surveillance of the Uchiha clan is all-encompassing," Yusuke said."Since they already know we planned to launch a coup tonight, they won't sit idly by."

"They're waiting for a signal—the moment we actually act—so they can wipe out the Uchiha clan completely."

"At that point, they won't even need an excuse."

"T-this…"

"How could that be?!"

Everyone was shaken. They hadn't expected their plans to be completely exposed.

"Konoha is no longer the Uchiha clan's Konoha," Yusuke said coldly."Don't cling to illusions."

"If you want to control your own destiny, you can only rely on your own strength."

The three-tomoe Sharingan in Yusuke's eyes began to spin rapidly.

The space in front of him rippled violently.

A mirror-like space–time passage appeared.

"Let's go."

One by one, the members of the Uchiha clan stepped into the passage.

Yusuke was the last to enter. He glanced back once, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly.

"Goodbye, Konoha."

Outside Naka Shrine

Just as Yusuke had predicted, ANBU surrounded Naka Shrine.

The Third Hokage looked at Shimura Danzō, his expression grave.

"Danzo, are you certain the Uchiha clan intends to launch a coup?"

"Absolutely," Danzo replied coldly.

He glanced at his subordinates.

They immediately understood and released countless black insects from their hands.

This was a secret technique of the Aburame clan—parasitic insects raised within the body, capable of combat and intelligence gathering.

The insects swarmed toward Naka Shrine.

Moments later, they returned.

"What?!"The Aburame ninja responsible for reconnaissance widened his eyes in disbelief.

"What's wrong?" Danzo demanded.

"There's no one inside Naka Shrine," the ninja said."The entire Uchiha clan… has vanished."

The Third Hokage and Danzo both froze.

They immediately ordered a full search of Naka Shrine.

No tunnels.No traces.

The Uchiha clan had disappeared completely—right under their noses.

"Find them!" Danzo roared."Even if you have to turn the entire ninja world upside down—find them!"

The prey he thought was already in his grasp had escaped, and he was driven into a fury.

The Third Hokage frowned deeply.

Every single Uchiha had vanished.

This could only be connected to that young man.

He had met Uchiha Yusuke several times, yet he had never been able to see through him.

A strong premonition settled in his heart.

The Uchiha clan would return.

And when they did—

The entire ninja world would tremble.
