After school ended, we could see Haruka waiting with his bicycle outside the school's gate. Yume came, and then we can see Haruka's face being kind of reddish. He was too shy about all of this. Yume was smiling as she saw Haruka being all red. Haruka didn't know how to drive a bicycle with another person; he couldn't drive it alone properly to begin with. It's been just a few hours since he bought that cycle.
Yume sat behind Haruka on the bicycle. She sat and kept her hands wrapped around Haruka's waist. Which, of course, immediately tensed up Haruka. He was sweating, blushing, and he was nervous. But he was scared too, because he didn't know what he was scared of.
When he started to drive the bicycle, he struggled at first. Yume wasn't scared that Haruka would mistakenly hit some car or something; she was having fun, and she was laughing loudly. Her laughter, for Haruka, was a heavenly melody that was blessing his ears.
Haruka at last adapted to it and learnt how to balance it.
Haruka asked with a shaky tone, "Yume... Um.. Where is your house? I don't want to ride too far, you know. Your parents might get mad about it(?)."
Yume: "Well, I live on the Avenue's 3rd road...what about you?"
Haruka answered with a surprised tone: "Wait... Like the first Avenue after the bus stop?"
Yume said, "YES, that one, well... there is only 1 Avenue after the bus stop, you know, dummy." saying that Yume started to chuckle at how Haruka doesn't know it.
Haruka answered with, "Well, Uhm.. I live on the Avenue's 7th road, you know... I never saw you around..."
Yume, hearing him say that, started to laugh more, "W-wait...ahahah! You live in there, and u don't know there is only one Avenue after the bus stop!... ahhhh... There again, road 3rd goes right and 7th...probably goes by left after the pharmacy, so yeah, you never saw me around...Dum dum!" she kept laughing till her stomach hurt.
Haruka was embarrassed, but he kind of liked how things were going. Something inside tells him to hear her laugh more.
Yume, with a mischievous grin, started to tickle Haruka from the back. Haruka started to laugh and lose balance on the bicycle, but he still managed to drive it safely. Yume was laughing at it, but Haruka thinks this was risky.
Haruka: "Yume... Why did you do that... Ugh... We could've hit the car that was passing by!... It was risky... Ah, glad we survived."
Yume: "Well... Life is meaningless anyway. Dying while laughing and having fun is not meaningless; it has meaning... Life without risk is like a pen without ink. What can we write without the ink, what can we tell without the risk?"
Haruka: "Oh... You got a point..."
Some guy with a black coat that had a weird symbol over his back that had a black circle and had a mask wearing that had a beak like a crow's beak, but long, and everything he wore was black. He caught Haruka's eye while he was crossing the road.
Haruka: "Is that guy a cosplayer or something...looks like cosplaying plague doctor hah..."
Yume said with an excited tone, "A COSPLAYER!!??! Where! where!!!"
Haruka thought of stopping the bicycle, but just then, when he looked at the place where he had seen that weird guy, he was gone.
Haruka: "My bad... He left already."
Yume: "Well, don't be sorry, just drive the bicycle already..."
Haruka started to drive it, faster than before, and Yume was having fun. Yume loved how Haruka now started to drive it faster.
Yume: "WOHOO!!! Changed your mind? Why are you driving it so fast, scaredy cat? Isn't it RISKY!"
Haruka said with a cheerful tone, "Well! A wise girl once said that LIFE IS meaningless without risks! I am just giving our life some meaning!!!"
Yume: "Ahhh... Glad you are listening to me... Very obedient kid."
Haruka said as he playfully protested, "Hey! Being 2 years older and failing doesn't make you an elderly citizen, you know!... well... maybe I have to be obedient to you... alright got it, madam."
Yume's cheeks got crimson red as she replied, "M-Madam? pfft! Where did that come from? You are an absolute idiot, you know?! tch!... Well, not that it hurts if you call me that..."
Haruka replies with a normal tone now, "Well, you are too pretty to be called by Yume, especially by me, who is younger, so I decided to call you madam... sounds nice, not gonna lie."
Yume started to laugh at Haruka's explanation and said, "Pftt! That was your explanation? My God, you are so hilarious and dumb! ahahaha!"
Haruka: "W-wait! No, I was being serious... C'mon, you can't just laugh at it..."
Haruka smiled as he noticed that Yume kept laughing... There was a strange comfort when he felt Yume's hand clenching into his shirt from the back, and when she was laughing. Haruka knows, by now, the poison had spread all over him, and soon he will have to throw up everything he has been holding back for... Love.
