Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7

After Raisa found out how Damian felt, she didn't know what to do, as it was quite sudden. Raisa was afraid he was just taking advantage of her with fake expressions of love.

But Raisa always went along with Damian's plans, believing they were beneficial.

"Sa..." Damian called.

Raisa didn't turn around; she remained silent, not hearing Damian's call.

"Sa..." Damian called again, but there was no answer.

Damian frowned, then touched Raisa's shoulder.

"Raisa Jasmine..."

"Ah. Yes, Damian," Raisa replied, surprised.

"I've been calling you, but you haven't answered," Damian said, making Raisa frown.

"Are you having a problem? Tell me. Who knows, I might be able to help you?" Damian continued, approaching Raisa.

"No, I was just focused on seeing the many workers in this mansion," Raisa replied with a smile.

"You can't lie to me, tell me!" Damian said.

"I'm serious, there's nothing wrong," Raisa replied, again with her sweet smile.

"If you really aren't thinking about anything, why aren't you getting ready yet?" Damian said.

"Getting ready? Where are you going?" Raisa asked, scratching her un-itchy head.

Damian shook his head. Then he said, "You're going to meet my family today, did you forget?"

Raisa slapped her face; she'd forgotten about that promise.

"I totally forgot, sorry!" Raisa said.

"Okay, now get ready, I'll wait downstairs," Damian said.

Raisa nodded slowly. She didn't want her relationship with Damian to get too deep, let alone involve her family.

Because for Raisa, their relationship with Damian was simply business.

No..

No..

No..

Raisa's heels clattered down the stairs, clad in a blue dress, as Damian commanded.

"Come on, I'm ready."

Raisa smiled faintly, making Damian's heart beat faster.

Then Damian reached out to take Raisa's hand.

"Ready? To meet my family?" Damian asked.

Raisa simply nodded in response, because she wasn't really ready yet.

Damian drove at a moderate speed.

The two were silent for the duration of the journey, each preoccupied with their own thoughts.

Not far from Damian's private mansion, they finally arrived at the main mansion of the Vander family.

"The building is very spacious, European-style. It's bigger than Damian's mansion," Raisa thought.

"Sa... Why are you daydreaming? Come on down!" Damian said.

"I'm nervous about meeting your family. I'm scared," Raisa said, her face apprehensive.

"With me, you'll be fine," Damian said, smiling.

Raisa took a deep breath.

"Come on, hold my hand."

Raisa held Damian's hand, afraid that she would be insulted, being from an ordinary family and an orphan.

"Good evening, Mom!" Damian greeted.

"Mommy's been waiting for you for a long time, everywhere you've been. You naughty boy." Mommy Rora pinched her son's stomach.

"Mom, let me introduce you. This is the woman I've been telling you I'll bring here."

"Hello, madam, I'm Raisa Jasmine."

With her sweet smile, one that would make anyone fall in love.

"No wonder my son has been single for so long. He's been waiting for you," Mommy Rora said.

Raisa simply smiled, showing her pearly white teeth.

"Where are the others?" Damian asked.

"Yes, they're waiting for you in the living room," Mommy Rora replied.

"Okay, let's go there!"

"Come on, honey, let's go," Mommy Rora said, gently tugging Raisa's hand.

"The one you've been waiting for has arrived!" said the elderly man, his face displeased.

"Dad, meet my future wife," Damian said.

"Future wife or whatever, I don't care. All I want is for you to come here." Jason glared at Raisa.

"Dad!" Damian growled, glaring at his father, who seemed displeased with Raisa's presence.

"You already have a wife chosen by the Vander family, why are you still stubborn about this unknown woman, huh?" Jason snapped, his gaze cold.

"Dad, don't talk like that, Damian has the right to choose his future wife," Mommy Rora replied.

Jasson glared at his wife, causing Rora to lower her head in dejection. Rora knew her husband would be furious.

"What do you want? Money, position, reputation, or what?"

"I don't think you truly love my daughter!" Jason shouted, glaring at her with a sarcastic smile.

"Dad... Don't make me even more reluctant to come here," Damian replied, displeased with his father's words.

"Damian, you're the heir to the Vander family. You should find a wife with a clear background. You need not only love, but also a good name!"

"What if this woman can't uphold the Vander family's reputation, huh? Because this woman has no clear background!" Jason shouted.

"Enough, Dad! I didn't come here to let you insult my future wife," Damian angrily said.

"Leave Damian alone, and
