Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Who Exactly Are You?

He, Jiang Han, had personally killed his way out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood in the Team Rockets training camp, relying on this very body and his wits!

Seeing the iron rod, wrapped in a fierce wind, about to smash down on his head, Jiang Han moved.

He didn't retreat, nor did he show even a hint of panic.

With a flick of his wrist, a faint glow flashed from his space ring, and a dagger with smooth lines and a shimmering blade appeared in his hand.

He slid his left foot forward half a step, tilting his body to the right at a miniscule angle; the entire movement was as smooth as flowing water.

"Whoosh!"

The heavy iron rod smashed down, nearly grazing the tip of his nose, and slammed violently into the ground. The hard rock instantly shattered into pieces, sending stone fragments flying!

The man's strike missed, and he was startled. Just as he was about to retract the iron rod for a horizontal sweep, he felt a piercing, heart-wrenching pain from his wrist!

He looked down, and his pupils suddenly constricted.

At some point, Jiang Han's figure had closed in on his side. Holding the dagger in a reverse grip, the sharp tip had with absolute precision sliced through the tendons of the wrist holding the iron rod!

"Agh!!!"

The man let out a miserable scream as the iron rod fell to the ground with a "clang." His right hand, which had been holding the rod, hung limply, and blood instantly stained his sleeve red.

How is this possible?!

This kid's speed... this kid's skills... isn't he a Trainer?!

The horror in the man's heart was beyond measure. He wanted to retreat, but Jiang Han followed him like a shadow, giving him no chance at all.

"You..."

The man had just spat out a single word when Jiang Han's knee struck his lower abdomen like a bolt of lightning.

"Ugh!"

The violent impact sent the man's stomach into a churn. He curled up like a cooked shrimp, instantly unable to even speak.

There wasn't a single ripple of emotion in Jiang Han's eyes, as if he were simply disposing of a piece of trash.

He grabbed the man's hair with his left hand, forcing him to look up, while the cold blade of the dagger in his right hand pressed against the man's carotid artery.

The entire process happened in the blink of an eye.

On the other side, the pokémon battlefield also reached a conclusion at almost the same time.

Deprived of their Trainer's commands, Scyther and Donphan's movements faltered in a moment of confusion.

And Jiang Han's pokémon would not miss such a golden opportunity!

Sneasel seized the opening when Scyther was distracted by its master's scream, closing the distance and slamming an Ice Punch shimmering with cold light squarely into Scyther's chest!

"Crack!"

The crisp sound of bones shattering was clearly audible in the cave. Scyther let out a mournful cry and flew backward like a broken kite, hitting the ground heavily and twitching twice before completely losing its ability to fight.

As for Donphan's side, it was even more pathetic.

How terrifying was Sandile's Bite after stacking two levels of attack? It bit down hard on Donphan's neck, shaking its head frantically.

Its sharp teeth had already pierced the thick skin, and blood flowed out in gulps.

After Inkay landed another precise Psycho Cut on its eye, the massive creature finally howled and crashed to the ground, losing consciousness.

"Ugh..."

The man, with the dagger held to his throat, watched his two pokémon fall one after another. The last glimmer of hope in his eyes was completely extinguished, replaced by endless fear and despair.

He couldn't understand how he, a veteran hunter who had roamed the wilderness for years and possessed two powerful pokémon in their final evolution forms, could be defeated so cleanly and thoroughly!

"You... who on earth are you..." the man squeezed out a few words through his teeth, his voice trembling violently with fear.

Jiang Han didn't answer him.

He just looked at him calmly, with the eyes of someone looking at a dead man.

Then, he waved his hand.

Sandile and Sneasel immediately understood, stepping toward the two corpses to begin skillfully searching for loot.

Seeing this scene, the man completely broke down.

This was no fledgling Trainer; this was clearly a peer who was even more professional and ruthless than them! No, even more terrifying than them!

"I was wrong... I was wrong! Please, let me go! I'll give you everything!" The man began to beg for mercy frantically. "The Poké Balls, the money, and... and the map of the place we found! I'll give it all to you!"

A map?

Jiang Han's brow twitched slightly.

He loosened the dagger at the man's neck but didn't put it away, instead lightly tapping the man's cheek with the tip of the blade.

"Hand it over."

The man's voice was concise and devoid of any emotion.

"It's... it's in the pocket inside my jacket..." the man said tremblingly.

Jiang Han signaled Sneasel to step forward, and it pulled out a piece of parchment wrapped in waterproof oilcloth from the man's chest.

Jiang Han took it and unfolded it with one hand.

The map was somewhat crudely drawn, but it could be seen to be a certain area within Meteor Falls.

In the center of the map, a conspicuous 'X' was drawn in red ink, with two words annotated beside it.

Nest.

Jiang Han's gaze narrowed slightly.

It seemed that the ultimate goal of these two people in causing so much trouble, framing the Team Magma, and hunting Trainers, was for the place marked on this map.

He put the map away, placing it into his space ring.

Seeing this, a glimmer of hope flashed in the man's eyes: "You've got the map, can... can you let me go now?"

Jiang Han looked at him and suddenly smiled.

"Didn't you say you were going to kill me?"

The man's face instantly turned as pale as paper.

"If you can do it, then come at me." Jiang Han's voice was very soft, yet it was like an Icicle Spear, stabbing hard into the man's heart.

The next second, his eyes turned cold.

"Sneasel."

"Slash!"

A dark shadow flashed, and the blade fell.

The man's pleas for mercy stopped abruptly, the last light in his eyes quickly dimmed, and his body slumped limply to the ground.

Dead silence returned to the cave, with only the sound of water droplets falling from the ceiling, making a "drip, drip" noise, as if counting down for the life that had just passed away.

Jiang Han flicked off the non-existent blood from his dagger and returned it to his space ring.

He walked to the two corpses and took all the Poké Balls from their waists.

Upon inspection, the woman had a level 25 Mightyena and one pokémon that hadn't been released even until her death.

Jiang Han checked; it was a level 19 Houndour.

Added to that were the man's level 26 Scyther and level 24 Donphan.

And the level 13 Shellder from that hot-blooded youth's hand was now his as well.

Jiang Han weighed the man's Poké Balls; these two pokémon had decent combat power, especially that Scyther, which was fast and very decisive in battle.

It was just a pity the man didn't know how to use it.

If the user were Jiang Han, it wouldn't have ended up this way.
