Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: The Enraged Druddigon

Jiang Han's pupils constricted; he knew very well that in this world, the power of a skill was closely linked to its level.

Dragon Rage was not the move from the games that only dealt a fixed 40 points of damage!

An angry strike from a Level 33 Druddigon was definitely not something he or any of his Pokémon could take head-on right now!

"Sandile, Protect! Then use Dig!" Jiang Han's command was calm and swift.

Sandile was already prepared, and a pale green energy barrier instantly emerged.

Boom!

The Dragon Rage slammed violently into the barrier, energy overflowing and blasting a shallow pit into the ground.

The barrier flickered violently a few times but ultimately blocked the fatal blow.

"Break through the ground beneath that Druddigon's feet!" Jiang Han's voice was crystal clear amidst the chaos.

Before the Druddigon could launch a second round of attacks, Sandile lowered its body and instantly burrowed into the ground, vanishing without a trace.

Druddigon was stunned; having lost its target, it could only scan the surrounding ground warily.

Suddenly, the ground beneath its feet sank abruptly, and its body couldn't help but wobble.

In that instant, Sandile burst out of the ground behind it, opened its large mouth, and bit down hard on Druddigon's thick tail with its sharp teeth!

"Awoo!"

Druddigon roared in pain and spun around, its sharp claws swiping at Sandile with the sound of breaking wind.

However, having succeeded in its strike, Sandile didn't linger; it immediately let go and burrowed back underground, leaving only a mound of kicked-up sand for Druddigon.

"Roar!!"

Druddigon was driven mad with rage; it felt like a giant being harassed by a mosquito, possessing immense strength but having nowhere to vent it.

It began to frantically claw at the earth and stomp heavily on the ground, trying to force that annoying crocodile out.

However, Sandile's tactics were far more cunning than it had imagined.

It didn't go head-to-head with Druddigon, but instead moved quickly underground, occasionally creating collapses at Druddigon's footholds or beneath its body to interfere with its balance, making every step exceptionally difficult.

Meanwhile, Inkay floated lightly in mid-air.

It looked at the fuming Druddigon below, appearing particularly excited.

Back when it was Druddigon's lackey, it had thought about taking it down once it became stronger, and now the opportunity had finally come!

The luminous organs on its body flickered with a strange light, and one Psycho Cut after another shot out like crescent moons, accurately hitting the wounds on Druddigon's body caused by the explosion.

Pfft! Pfft!

The impact of the psychic energy caused the wounds to reopen, and the pain intensified, further stimulating Druddigon's already fragile nerves.

Betrayal!

Druddigon's single eye glared fixedly at Inkay; though it couldn't speak, its angry and incredulous gaze said everything.

Its former lackey, the guy who had to cater to its every whim just to get a White Stone, was now actually helping a human to deal with it!

Inkay didn't back down; instead, it made a comical face at Druddigon, twisted its body nimbly in the air to dodge a Dragon Breath Druddigon had swung wildly, and the light spots on its body flickered twice in a quite provocative manner.

This action was undoubtedly adding fuel to the fire.

Druddigon went completely berserk.

It gave up on chasing the underground Sandile and instead poured all its fury toward the Inkay in mid-air.

Streaks of Dragon Rage and frantic claw swipes turned this Oasis upside down.

Jiang Han stood at the edge of the battlefield, calmly observing everything.

His heart was racing, not out of fear, but out of excitement.

Everything was going according to his plan.

Sandile's harassment and Inkay's provocation were just distractions.

Their role was to exhaust Druddigon's stamina as much as possible and drive it into a total rage, making it lose its ability to judge calmly.

And the one who would truly decide the outcome of this battle was the Dragon Slayer in his team!

Sneasel!

In the deepest shadows at the edge of the battlefield, a pair of crimson eyes glowed.

Sneasel's figure almost merged with the night; only those eyes, like two points of burning Will-O-Wisps, were deathly locked onto the frenzied dragon in the field.

Under the moonlight, one could faintly see a dim halo of energy lingering around its sharp claws—the effect of using Hone Claws, its attack power already boosted.

Its body crouched slightly, muscles tensed, and the air around its limbs seemed to twist slightly—a sign that its bodily functions had been pushed to the limit after using Agility.

A cold, sharp aura rose steadily from its body; it wasn't just power, but a pure murderous intent directed at its prey.

Jiang Han could clearly feel the mental link with Sneasel, a strong impulse to fight and tear the opponent apart.

"Not enough..." Jiang Han murmured in his heart, "Make it go a bit more insane, exhaust a bit more of its stamina..."

He needed a perfect moment.

A moment when Druddigon would reveal its biggest opening due to its rage!

In the field, Druddigon's stamina was heavily depleted after failing to land an attack for so long, its breathing now sounding like a broken bellows. Its movements began to slow, and its accuracy grew worse and worse.

It was completely enraged, and completely exhausted.

Finally, after another claw swipe missed, Druddigon let out a final roar.

Its muscles tensed suddenly, and regardless of the cost, it launched a powerful Dragon Rage toward Inkay!

Its body was enveloped in violent Dragon-type energy, its eyes turned completely blood-red; it had used almost all its energy for this one strike!

All for the sake of completely killing this Inkay!

That's it!

A sharp light flashed in Jiang Han's eyes.

"Sneasel, move!"

With the command given.

That dark shadow lurking in the gloom moved.

No sound, no warning.

A black and red afterimage, like an arrow released from a bow, skimmed the ground at a speed difficult for the naked eye to catch, instantly crossing dozens of meters and pouncing straight for Druddigon's exposed side neck as it used Dragon Rage!

Those claws, already honed to be incredibly sharp, sliced through the moonlight with a cold glint!

Sneasel made its move.

Under the moonlight, a dark shadow flashed like a ghost, bringing with it a gust of icy wind.

Ice Punch!

"Roar!"

Sneasel's figure was fast to the extreme, closing in on Druddigon's thick neck almost instantly.

That fist, condensed with the power of frost, struck Druddigon's skin—the part cracked by the explosion—without any fancy tricks, landing solidly!

Ice-type energy erupted instantly, accurately boring into the wound.

"Awoooo—!"

Druddigon let out a shrill, distorted howl, a sound filled with pain and shock.

The suppression of Dragon-types by Ice-types was etched into their genes.

That bone-chilling cold invaded its body frantically through the wound, as if it were going to freeze its very blood.

Under the intense pain, the Dragon Rage energy originally gathering in its mouth began to fluctuate, and its body shook violently.
