Shen Lang and Monk Bu Se did not wait long.
Less than thirty minutes after Shen Lang blasted down a chunk of the cliff face, another person arrived. It was an old man in gray robes with a long, fluttering beard. Though he looked like a transcendent immortal, his eyes darted around shiftily. Gripping a faintly glowing Longsword, he approached with extreme caution, taking one measured step at a time.
Stepping onto the second-tier platform, the old man froze. The fierce battle between Duanmu Xie and Duan Chenfeng had wrecked the area, leaving massive craters everywhere. Debris from the surrounding shattered cliffs littered the ground in complete disarray. He glanced at Shen Lang's group of three, then at the devastated platform. Swallowing hard, he sprinted straight into the Teleportation Gate without a word, running as if a prehistoric Fierce Beast of Primordial Chaos were chasing him.
"That's the eighth one, Mr. Shen. We have enough," Monk Bu Se reminded him.
