Soon, Evan Keller's face appeared in Dr. Jennings's mind. Could it be that the police had turned back to find him?
At this thought, Dr. Jennings's expression turned incredibly grim. Before he could even speak, the knocking rang out again—KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK—even more urgent than before.
"Dr. Jennings, please open the door. The police have a few questions for you," Evan Keller's voice came from outside.
Dr. Jennings secretly gritted his teeth. "It really is him! Damn it! Why did he come at a time like this?"
However, Dr. Jennings glanced around his empty office. Even if the police came in, they wouldn't find anything. Thinking of this, he breathed a slight sigh of relief, straightened his clothes, and walked over to open the door.
