A brilliant splash of gold appeared in their line of sight.

Jin Ling stopped beneath the tree.
"Xixi."
Qiao Xixi jumped down with the cubs.
"Jin Ling, are you okay?"
Jin Ling was covered in blood, making Qiao Xixi incredibly worried.
"I'm fine. We need to leave this place immediately. They'll catch up to us soon."
"Okay."
Qiao Xixi jumped onto Jin Ling's back, holding Qiao Lie.
But just as they were about to leave, Hei Lun caught up.
"Trying to run? It won't be that easy."
Hei Lun roared, swatting a large tree with his heavy paw and sending it flying toward Qiao Xixi and the others.
Qiao Xixi didn't have time to steady herself, and she tumbled to the ground along with Qiao Lie, who was in her arms.
Jin Ling wanted to grab Qiao Xixi, but Hei Lun was already upon him.
Jin Ling could only tell Qiao Qiao and the others to hold on tight before turning to face Hei Lun.
