Ning Fang replied, "That's good."
Wanyun saw the dyed cotton cloth to one side. She picked up a bolt, stroking it as she said, "This material really is much more comfortable than coarse linen, and the color is lovely too."
Ning Fang smiled and said, "The biggest advantage of cotton cloth is that it's easier to dye than silk or linen, and there are far more patterns to choose from. I have about two hundred bolts of cloth here. Why don't you take them to Chang'an City first?"
Wanyun agreed, "Alright. I'm just not sure I have what it takes to sell this cotton cloth."
Ning Fang said, "Cotton cloth is inexpensive. If you price it at fifty cents a bolt, you'll definitely have plenty of buyers."
Lu Jingxing, however, said, "Fifty cents won't do. When cotton cloth first arrives in Chang'an, it must be sold for twenty taels a bolt."
