Fang Cheng and the Demon Buddha spoke for some time. In the end, the Demon Buddha dissolved into a shower of Buddha Light, leaving behind a black chess piece that Fang Cheng collected.
The Demon Buddha's fate had been sealed over three thousand years ago.
He had failed to convert the Demon Lord's left hand and was instead corrupted by the Supreme Demonic Intent, which tainted his physical body, Dharma Body, and divine soul. Soon, he would completely transform into a Demon Fiend.
Fang Cheng couldn't pass judgment on the Demon Buddha. The stories he had heard about the man were likely a mix of truth and fiction, distorted beyond recognition by the river of time.
He knew only one thing: for the Demon Buddha, the only meaning left in the final moments of his life was to do something for the people of the Red Profound Realm.
The guidance he gave Fang Cheng sparked a clever idea in his mind.
