Before long, the coffee was ready.
The two of them took their coffee and casually sat down across from Lin Jiang.
He looked up and recognized them as the women who had been in his car the day before.
Lin Jiang didn't know much about them, only that one was named Fang Jie and the other was Wei Xue.
"You haven't been out to look around?" Wei Xue took the initiative to break the ice.
"I've been here once before and have pretty much seen it all, so I'm not going out."
"I overheard you on the phone talking about a media company. Do you work in that industry?"
"I'm planning to get into the industry. I'm just starting out."
"What a coincidence! Fang Jie is also in the media industry. You two are practically colleagues."
Wei Xue was very clever, framing their relationship as colleagues to give them more common ground for conversation. She secretly kicked Fang Jie under the table, but the latter remained expressionless, giving nothing away.
