The next morning, Lin Jiang got up and drove to Berkeley.
Lately, Lin Jiang had been spending most of his time at Berkeley.
After more than a month of breaking in, the employees had all adapted to the intensity and pace. The idea that "the company is my home" was now firmly ingrained in their minds.
After all, who wouldn't like a work model with high pay and plenty of time off?
After this month-plus, Lin Jiang felt he wouldn't need to stay here for long stretches anymore. They should know how to run Berkeley now.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK—
"Come in."
Lin Jiang called out in response to the knock at his office door.
With a CREAK, the door was pushed open, and Fang Jie walked in from outside.
Wearing a long blue overcoat and high heels, she walked in carrying a handbag and sat down on the sofa beside the desk.
"It's been so hard to get a chance to see you lately."
"I really haven't had a spare moment," Lin Jiang said with a smile.
