Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Fairy Lin's Heavyweight Anti-fan

About half an hour later, the car stopped at Pinecroft Estate. The two of them exited the elevator, one after the other. A middle-aged man in a suit was waiting at the door to apartment 1701. Seeing them arrive, he turned and bowed slightly. "Mr. Sheffield, the delivery is here."

Jocelyn Lawrence watched for a moment, then chuckled as she took the food containers from him. "Boss Abbott, shouldn't you be running a five-star hotel instead of playing delivery boy?"

The largest shareholder of The Serene Hotel was Ian Sheffield, and its manager was Bob Abbott—a typical sycophantic toady.

Boss Abbott forced a laugh. "You're too kind, Miss Lawrence. I was just—"

"That's enough. You can go."

Ian Sheffield rang the doorbell. He pressed it only once before pulling his hand back, then stood by the door, displaying an unusual amount of patience for the person inside.
