Chapter 8 - Zerin Situation

The scene of that strange young man being chased by the wolf monster was still fresh in his mind.

Without wasting any time, he turned to Millie and said in a solemn tone, "We can't stay here. We need to leave right now."

At his words, the surroundings fell silent, only to be broken by a chilling laugh.

Samuel threw his head back and laughed loudly. "Quit being a sissy, Aron. If you were that afraid, you should not have joined this trip to the prison in the first place. No one forced you. Just a minor shaking of the area, and you're screaming like a little girl."

Samuel's eyes were cold as he openly mocked him, not letting a single chance slip to kick Aron down.

While he was saying this, his hand gently slid down to rest on Risa's perky bottom, large and firm. Risa's expression turned strange. She instinctively wanted to slap Samuel's hand away, but just at that moment, the wolf's pained howl reverberated once more.

The gut-wrenching howl caused her body to stiffen. She unconsciously snuggled closer to Samuel for protection.

The smile on Samuel's face widened. As expected, he shamelessly pulled Risa closer, her soft, almost boneless body pressing against his chest. Samuel could even feel her heartbeat accelerating.

"I knew it… this bitch wanted me all along."

Samuel thought while smacking his lips.

This didn't go unnoticed by the others. A tense silence descended over the surroundings, with the faces of the women, especially Jackie and Millie, turning visibly uncomfortable.

Samuel looked completely confident and glanced in their direction with his eyebrows raised. "What is it, ladies? Jealous, are we?"

As he said those words with a moronic grin, his grip on Risa's butt turned slightly firmer. As he whispered softly, a faint breath brushed her ear, and a slight moan escaped Risa's lips.

"Ahh!"

"Fucking slut…"

Aron cursed under his breath and turned his gaze away. He had no good opinion of Risa. Although they were friends, he knew that for the slightest bit of benefit, Risa wouldn't mind being thrown around.

Just as the scene became suffocating, the terrifying howl coming from below suddenly dissipated. The earth shaking also stopped.

Seemingly realizing something, the seniors of the group, Jackie and Aron, exchanged glances, wariness clear in their eyes.

"Could it be…?" Millie muttered, awe clear in her eyes, an impossible thought filling her head. "No… I have to see it with my own two eyes."

As she said this, she broke into a sprint, hurriedly moving toward the stairs.

"Millie, no—"

Reacting hurriedly, both Samuel and Jackie tried to stop her, but it was too late. Smashing through the icy arrows, Millie dove forward at full speed.

"Damn it!"

Aron gritted his teeth and chased after her. Hesitating for a brief moment, Jackie also followed them.

Samuel and Risa were left behind, neither of them showing any interest in going down. Samuel's thoughts were elsewhere, not caring about the current situation or danger. His hand sneakily slid down Risa's silky pants, tugging her panties lower.

Inside the ruins of the watchtower, two bodies pressed tightly together.

Meanwhile, down below.

Xavier patiently waited for Zerin to appear, his eyes scanning the surroundings with curiosity, wondering exactly from which corner Zerin would emerge.

He didn't realize it, but the small shadow cast by his body twisted and turned. From it, two pairs of eyes filled with infinite coldness opened. For a moment, the temperature in the surroundings dropped to the freezing point. Even Xavier felt a chill run down his spine.

"Who…?!"

Instinctively, he jerked his head backward, the iron bar in his hands already raised.

Meanwhile, unbothered by his reaction, Zerin's figure calmly emerged from the shadow, her inky long black hair slowly fluttering without any wind.

As soon as Xavier's eyes landed on Zerin, he briefly forgot about the wolf and openly salivated at the sight of her thick thighs. Breaking free of his crude thoughts, Xavier took a deep breath to calm himself down.

"What a demonic vixen…"

Zerin's charm was overwhelming for someone like Xavier. Just a single look seemed enough to wipe out his sanity and turn him into a mindless beast.

It was only after taking a couple of deep breaths that his mind returned to its normal state.

Once calm, he silently examined Zerin's figure.

Meanwhile, Abyssal Queen Zerin was burning with fury. A useless human trash was not worthy of her attention. Although she looked calm on the surface, inside she was seething.

"How dare this trash order me around… I refuse to accept this. Surely there must be some way to get out of this contract…"

Zerin's thoughts churned as she considered all the ways to end this so-called familiar contract. This wasn't supposed to be like this. This human was supposed to be her slave, a link to dominate this area of the universe and finally ascend to become an

Eight-Sequence being.

But right at the crucial moment, just as she was about to succeed, Infinite Record was alerted and interfered.

Not only did she become the familiar of a non-evolved human, but because of the terms of the contract, all of her power was sealed.

"Damn you, Infinite Record… One day I will have my revenge…"

However, before she could even think about revenge, she would have to get out of this contract somehow.

Thinking about all this caused her head to ache. The situation was extremely complicated. A solution wouldn't come easily.

After all, familiar contracts weren't something that could be easily broken. The only silver lining was that the contract wasn't demonic, or her personality would have been completely rewritten and she would have become nothing more than a puppet. That thought alone caused Zerin's eyes to twitch.

On the other hand, Xavier was facing her directly, faintly noticing the worry in her eyes. His lips couldn't help but curl up naturally.

"Don't worry, girl. I'm not as degenerate as you think. As long as you help me get out of this hell safely and explain what the hell is going on, I won't make things hard for you."

While saying these words, he closed the distance between him and Zerin, stopping only when his head was just a few inches away from her plush bosom, his stance slightly stiff. Of course, Xavier wouldn't have come this close if not for the filthy shapes filling his vision.

Ignoring the fear, he raised his eyebrows and looked straight into her eyes.

"Don't test me, girl… keke."

By the end, his voice wavered slightly, and a hollow laugh escaped his mouth.

Kacha!

The sound of something exploding came from behind, followed by rapid footsteps.

Millie's eyes first scanned the gigantic wolf corpse, then Xavier's bloodied figure, finally stopping on Zerin's overwhelming presence.

The Abyssal Queen's beauty immediately caused her to fall into a trance-like state.

Aron was no exception. He stared at Zerin's figure with his mouth wide open.

The only person who could remain somewhat unaffected was Jackie.

Her gaze moved from the cold wolf corpse to Zerin, then back to the wolf again.

A slightly confused look appeared on her face.

After some time, she gathered her courage and asked in an unsure tone, "Was it you who killed the wolf?"

Contrary to their expectations, Zerin calmly ignored them and looked at Xavier plainly before coldy snorting.

She said no more letting the shadow completely devour her, just as her figure was about to completey disappear, her gaze lingered upon Jackie figure for a brief moment.

This simple action didn't escape Xavier sharp senses.
