The "Daemon Blood Pact" was the true name of the contract Kenmei Isayama had Toji Fushiguro sign. It was typically a contract used by the forces of Chaos to lure humans into corruption.

Kenmei's mentor, Ahriman, as the Champion of Tzeentch (one of the four Chaos Gods of the Warp), naturally knew the tricks of most Tzeentchian daemons inside out—and frankly, he looked down on them.

So, only a small section in the preface of [Redemption of the Rubric] recorded a bit about it via inscription. But even this cursory knowledge was enough for Kenmei to hoodwink these "monkeys" who had never seen psychic powers before.

Toji Fushiguro, the first test subject, had seen a lot in his life, but he still ended up personally packaging himself and selling his soul to Kenmei.

However, Kenmei's "sign one, get thirty-plus free" contract trick was just leftovers from what demons played with. Some demonic contracts didn't even require a signature; just touching or even looking at the paper meant acceptance. Furthermore, the patterns on the contract often represented hundreds or thousands of additional clauses or hidden languages, impossible to detect even with a microscope magnifying hundreds of thousands of times.

Unlike them, Kenmei upheld the principles of fairness, transparency, and voluntary participation.

Only after the party signed their name would the contract take effect on the spot.

Even this watered-down "Daemon Blood Pact," modified by Kenmei, had terrifying effects. After signing, Toji's soul no longer belonged to him. He would need Kenmei's permission even to kill himself.

Although Toji usually acted like his normal self, going out to fool around with women...

If Kenmei used the Blood Pact's highest authority, it was equivalent to a direct, absolute order that Toji had no right to resist.

Kenmei had experimented by ordering Toji on the spot to stab himself a few times with the Inverted Spear of Heaven. Upon receiving the order, Toji's eyes burned with fanaticism as if he had received the highest honor. He stabbed wherever there was a major artery, blood spraying out like it was free.

The blood loss was like a fountain, dyeing the ground red in moments.

If Kenmei hadn't shouted stop, he suspected Toji would have stabbed himself to death without hesitation.

This was the forced obedience of the "Daemon Blood Pact." The effect was so ridiculously good that even Kenmei was scared (impressed).

It made him think about the vast Imperium, where the basic population was ordinary civilians. Every second, they faced the possibility of being seduced by Chaos Daemons and turning traitor against the Emperor.

When demonic whispers sounded in their ears, even powerful Astartes struggled to protect themselves. Ordinary civilians could only say "The Emperor Protects." How desperate that must be.

Kenmei felt his style was drifting further toward Chaos Evil. Feeding enemies to Tyranids, turning bones into Servo-Skulls after torture, and tricking an "ignorant middle-aged uncle" into signing a Warp "Daemon Blood Pact" to become his puppet.

He wondered how anyone could mistake him for a saint.

Let's just say, the standard for being a "saint" seemed pretty bloody these days.

After the "Daemon Blood Pact," Toji became Kenmei's most loyal warrior.

Regardless, a small squad was taking shape. The [Scarab Occult Terminator] was the magic tank, Toji was the warrior/assassin, and Kenmei was the mage/summoner. With those two charging in front, he just had to cast buffs from the back to achieve terrifying results.

There were actually quite a few buff spells in psychic arts.

For example, the [Hammerhand] psychic spell. Its effect was simple and crude.

Cost: 400 Mana

Effect: Doubles the target's Strength attribute for the next strike, causing double the destructive impact.

simply put, the next attack is guaranteed to deal double damage—basically a critical hit.

If Kenmei cast this blessing on Toji, the destructive power of his blade would be insane. Smashing an enemy's dog head would be no problem.

As for blessing the [Scarab Occult Terminator], Kenmei felt his psychic mastery wasn't high enough yet. To use an inappropriate metaphor, how could a paramecium bless an elephant?

Due to the [Scarab Occult Terminator]'s irreversible extreme damage, its uses were limited. Once durability hit zero, the [Rubric Marine - Scarab Occult Terminator] would shatter completely.

Because of this anxiety, Kenmei had the idea of finding a substitute. Coincidentally, the "Heavenly Tyrant" Toji Fushiguro appeared!

After dealing with Toji, Kenmei saw Yomi Isayama waiting anxiously in the distance. He gathered his thoughts and sighed. There was something he really didn't know how to tell her.

It was about who hired Toji to assassinate her. Kenmei had gotten the employer's info from Toji.

He truly regretted knowing. Sometimes, knowing too much just makes you feel worse.

"Kenmei-chan, are you hurt?"

Although Yomi was reassured by Kenmei's displayed strength in crushing Toji, she knew not to chase a desperate enemy. Who knew what tricks a cornered "Heavenly Tyrant" might have?

"I'm fine, Sister Yomi."

"And sorry, I lost Toji Fushiguro."

The fewer people who knew about the relationship between Kenmei and Toji, the better. No need to show off.

Besides, faking Toji's death yielded fewer benefits than keeping him alive. Kenmei was counting on this middle-aged uncle's "Sorcerer Killer" identity to make money for him.

Seeing the valuable Special Grade Cursed Tools on Toji proved how strong his business capabilities were. Kenmei was a little envious.

"Kenmei-chan, as long as you're okay."

Yomi didn't find it strange. After all, that was a terrifying existence in the Jujutsu world. For Kenmei, a "rookie" Sorcerer, to defeat and heavily injure Toji was already shocking enough.

Yomi then called the Sorcerer Association to handle the scene, reporting that the Curse User group seemed to be backed by Toji Fushiguro, the "Heavenly Tyrant" who once slaughtered half the Zenin family. The Association took this very seriously. While surprised that Yomi could repel Toji, they raised the mission rank, which consequently increased Kenmei's bonus.

"By the way, Sister Yomi."

Before parting, Kenmei said to Yomi Isayama:

"I haven't visited Sister Mei in a long time. Can you tell her I want to come over to her house to play?"
