Chapter 86 - Getting A Hold On Things

The soft click of the door accompanied Aden's departure. As his bare feet made contact with the cracked cobblestone that led out Horen's home, he flicked his fingers lightly and pulled a white flower that nestled at the corner of the stairway.

In less than a second, the flower turned grey and shriveled before dispersing into the winds.

Aden's fingers still remained in the delicately curved position that accommodated the stem. A small sigh left his lips as he walked out the home yard.

"I guess he doesn't know," he whispered to himself as he walked silently.

The only reason Aden even decided to meet Horen this early was to ascertain whether or not he was aware of the battle he had with the Princess and the Saintesses. After all, the chasm he was met with on his way here wasn't exactly a hard thing to spot from higher grounds.
