Because now Yeongjae was above me, hovering, caging me in with his arms, looking at me like I was something he intended to devour completely.

“Did you have fun playing with me?” he asked, the corner of his mouth lifting in a dangerous smirk.

“I—I wasn’t playing with—”

“Shut up.”

Before I could react, his hand was on my jaw, holding me still as his mouth crashed into mine. His tongue swept inside, deep and claiming, stealing every ounce of control I thought I still had.

“Mmm—” I tried to protest, but the sound dissolved into a helpless moan when his body pressed closer.

I was already lost.

Before I could even adjust, he added another, curling them just the right angle while his thumb began rubbing tight circles.

“Oh my God… Yeongjae…” My back arched off the mattress, pleasure exploding through me so fast it made my head spin.

“Who’s the virgin now?” he murmured, watching me with dark, focused eyes. “You might be the first, but I’m not innocent, Sora. I’m not clueless...”

“What?!” I laughed breathlessly, shocked by his boldness. “That’s too much.”

“Okay…” he said without missing a beat, lifting his head with a crooked grin. “Just every night then.”

I laughed again. “I haven’t even said I want to keep doing this with you after tonight.”

The moment the words left my mouth, I knew I’d made a mistake.

“Then I guess I have work to do,” he said quietly. “I’ll just have to convince you.”

Before I could react, he shifted down the bed, his hands sliding along my thighs as he spread my legs apart.

“Yeongjae, wait, I haven’t—fu…”

I was flabbergasted at what just happened.


Logan had never said anything like that before, not about anyone, not like this. He was usually calm, rational, and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. 


If Yeongjae had managed to trigger that reaction from him… then maybe there really was something about him.


"Why are you saying that?" I asked quietly. "Is there something you know about him that I don't?"


Logan glanced back toward the restaurant. Through the glass, I could see Yejin, Hanna, and Yeongjae pushing their chairs back, getting ready to leave.


Before I could look again, Logan gently held my arm and guided me farther down the sidewalk, away from the entrance, away from curious eyes.


"I'm sorry," he said, exhaling. "I didn't mean to make him sound bad." He hesitated, choosing his words carefully. "But the way he looks at you… It was unsettling. Like he already knows you. Like he's studying you. Like he is planning something to you."
