Yeongjae's POV
Sora and I walked quickly down the hallway toward the VIP wing, guided by the nurse who had called me earlier.
My heart hadn't slowed down since the moment I heard Jiho's name over the phone.
Beside me, Sora looked equally tense. Her arms were folded tightly, and her footsteps echoed sharply against the polished floor.
Room V-312.
The nurse stopped. "He just got transferred here after he woke up," she said and gently pushed the door open.
"There he is," she said softly.
We stepped inside.
Jiho was sitting upright on the hospital bed, wearing a patient gown and looking far too relaxed for someone who had just sent us into a panic.
A bandage stretched across his forehead.
A doctor stood beside him, reviewing a tablet.
The moment Jiho saw me, his expression hardened slightly.
"Yeongjae," he said.
Then his gaze flicked briefly toward Sora before returning to me.
"Don't tell Mom and Dad about this. I don't want them to worry."
He paused.
