Chapter 51 - CHAPTER FIFTY ONE

Everything was mush.

There was simply too much information.

System 001.

The God of Mechas.

Xu Nianye.

The Heavenly Dao.

His father's plan.

Different worlds.

His own identity as the Dimension Master.

One revelation after another crashed into his mind, connecting pieces of his memories that had never made sense before.

For the first time, many of the strange things that had happened to him seemed to finally have an explanation.

But instead of making him feel relieved, it only left him even more confused.

There were still so many questions.

Too many.

And yet, somehow, a large portion of the puzzle had finally fallen into place.

It was as though someone had suddenly taken the tangled mess of threads inside his head and pulled several of them loose. The picture was still incomplete, but at least he could finally see where some of the pieces belonged.

Zayn didn't rush him.

He simply let Yu Weiwei sit there and process everything at his own pace.

It took nearly ten minutes before Yu Weiwei finally reacted.

"So what do I do now?" Yu Weiwei asked, his expression carrying a hint of confusion as he thought about the journey ahead.

"You just have to become powerful enough to travel through worlds. After that, the rest is yours to explore. Oh, and you might even meet your fathers." Zayn explained patiently.

Yu Weiwei's eyes lit up slightly at the mention of his fathers, but the excitement quickly faded into curiosity as he looked back at Zayn.

"Then what about System 001?"

System 001 had been with Yu Weiwei for longer than almost anyone else. It had accompanied him through countless situations, protected him, annoyed him, helped him, and had gradually become an irreplaceable part of his life.

The thought of losing was a painful thing for Yu Weiwei, he had spent days hating and liking it.

So naturally, he was curious about what would happen to System 001.

Zayn chuckled softly before answering.

"Of course, we still have to create him. Even though we already succeeded in another timeline, I still want to be able to create something that powerful myself. And I bet the rest of them think the same way."

"The rest?"

"Yes. The others involved in creating him, and the ones who have been watching over you."

"Sigh... You probably have no idea how much they want to hit you, but it's good now. Our Weiwei has become much more sensible." Zayn said, his voice carrying a faint heartache.

Yu Weiwei paused, his lips pursing slightly as his ears slowly turned red.

Thinking about his first life made him want to crawl into a hole.

If what Elara and Zayn had said was true, then all the foolish things he had done back then had been witnessed by others.

All of them.

It was so embarrassing...

Yu Weiwei silently lowered his head before snuggling into Zayn's arms, choosing to bury his embarrassment in the familiar warmth.

Then, as if he had suddenly remembered something else, he began asking questions.

One question became two.

Two became five.

And before long, Yu Weiwei was asking about all sorts of things he had been curious about for a long time.

Zayn answered him patiently, occasionally laughing at some of the strange questions Yu Weiwei came up with. And he felt sad because he could feel Yu Weiwei's life experience through those questions.

He was even starting to doubt whether it was a good idea that they had let Yu Weiwei experienced something like that, but if they hadn't then the future would really be bleak.

Time passed without either of them noticing.

Eventually, it was time to leave.

Yu Weiwei reluctantly stood up and walked toward the door. Just before stepping out, however, he suddenly stopped and looked back.

By then, Zayn had already returned to his old teacher appearance. The imposing and mysterious figure from earlier had disappeared, leaving behind the familiar teacher Yu Weiwei had known for so long.

"Godfather, how old are you?" Yu Weiwei asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Zayn chuckled before looking at Yu Weiwei with helpless eyes.

"Sixty-eight. Has your curiosity been answered?"

Yu Weiwei had always wanted to know Zayn's age, but he had kept putting it off.

The main reason was that the former Yu Weiwei was the type who couldn't keep a secret.

The things Yu Weiwei knew weren't really secrets, but there were still some things that were better left unsaid.

As for Zayn's real appearance, many people in the Interstellar world altered their appearances for one reason or another, so there was nothing particularly strange about it.

Except for occasionally guiding Yu Weiwei, Zayn didn't interfere much with his growth because of the wishes of his fathers.

He was only there to guide him when necessary.

The rest of the path had to be walked by Yu Weiwei himself.

"Uhn? You are exactly the same age as the eldest prince." Yu Weiwei muttered casually before leaving the office.

Because he had already turned around, he didn't see Zayn stiffen.

His expression froze for a brief moment.

Zayn remained completely still until Yu Weiwei's footsteps disappeared.

Only then did he slowly relax.

Thankfully, Yu Weiwei had said it so casually that it was obvious he hadn't thought much about it.

Yu Weiwei had spent the past few months around the royal family, so it was only natural that the thought had occurred to him.

Zayn let out a quiet breath.

He really needed to be more careful.

He sat back down and stared at the scenery outside his window, his thoughts gradually drifting far away.

Sometimes, he didn't even know whether he should blame his younger brothers or be grateful that they hadn't discovered the truth.

The person currently lying in the stasis pod wasn't actually him.

It was a clone.

A clone created for him by their father before he died.

Every member of the royal family had a clone created for them.

They were able to control their clones completely, and no other being could take control of them.

It was a safeguard that had been passed down through the royal family, something that had seemed unnecessary in the past but had eventually become one of the reasons Zayn could remain hidden for so long.

Zayn sighed quietly.

He missed his brothers.

Especially Evander.

Evander had still been just a little kid when he disappeared.

Back then, that child had been incredibly attached to him.

Zayn sometimes wondered how Evander had coped after he suddenly vanished.

Had he cried?

Had he waited for him?

Or had he eventually learned to accept that his older brother was now lying in a stasis pod with his recovery not yet to be determined?

The thought made Zayn's expression soften.

He really hoped Evander had grown up well.

Meanwhile, Yu Weiwei was currently standing near the school gate with a disgusted expression as he stared at the person blocking his way.

Sigh...

He could have simply teleported home.

Unfortunately, he still had to sign out of school first.

Otherwise, the system would record him as still being inside the school grounds, which would inevitably cause trouble later.

And the person standing in front of him was making that simple task unnecessarily difficult.

"Weiwei... Why weren't you replying? I was wrong, okay? I shouldn't have listened to Yu Yuan..." Si Tian rambled, completely oblivious to the increasingly disgusted expression on Yu Weiwei's face.

He had been talking nonstop for several minutes, explaining himself and repeatedly apologising without even giving Yu Weiwei a chance to respond.

Yu Weiwei really wanted to beat him up.

Really.

His hands were even beginning to itch.

Unfortunately, fighting was prohibited within the school grounds.

And he couldn't even leave yet because he hadn't been able to sign out.

Si Tian was literally blocking his way.

For the first time in his life, Yu Weiwei seriously considered whether punching someone was worth dealing with the school's disciplinary system afterward.

His eyes slowly narrowed.

"Move."

Si Tian paused.

"But Weiwei, listen to me first..."

"Move."

"But—"

"Move."

Yu Weiwei's smile was frighteningly gentle.

Si Tian's voice immediately died in his throat.

For some reason, he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

Brushing off the uneasy feeling, Si Tian realised that Yu Weiwei couldn't be persuaded with soft tactics.

To be honest, when the truth about Yu Yuan's lover's death came out, he had genuinely felt guilty and apologetic toward Yu Weiwei and disgusted with Yu Yuan's two face

He knew that he had been wrong.

Even his father had scolded him for it, saying things like he could have kept Yu Weiwei under his thumbs, if he had done that none of these would have happened. And they wouldn't have returned all those high ends treasures.

At first, Si Tian had thought that once he apologised properly, things would gradually return to normal. Perhaps Yu Weiwei simply needed some time to calm down.
