Chapter 26 - Chapter 26- Vanished~

Raven's eyes flicked upward, toward the ceiling.

Marla followed his gaze automatically—and her blood ran cold.

The CCTV camera mounted near the ceiling, about twelve feet up, was 'bent'.

Not broken. Not hanging loose.

'Bent.'

Like someone had reached up, grabbed the metal casing, and physically 'twisted' it until the lens pointed at the wall instead of the hallway.

But that was impossible.

The camera was twelve feet high. No one could reach that without a ladder.

And even if they could—bending solid metal with bare hands?

Marla's breathing quickened, her eyes widening as she looked around the hallway.

Every camera she could see was the same. Twisted. Angled away. Rendered useless.

"How..." Her voice came out barely above a whisper. "How did you—"

'!'

She stumbled backward, her heel catching on nothing as her legs suddenly felt weak.

But Raven was already moving.
