The air shimmered on a quiet street corner, and Raven materialized out of nothing.
He stood there for a moment, hands in his pockets, looking up at the night sky.
Stars scattered across the black canvas above Prague, competing with the amber glow of street lamps that lined the road like sentinels. The city breathed differently at night—quieter, slower, with an edge of danger lurking in the shadows between lights.
Raven exhaled slowly, his breath visible in the cold air.
He could've teleported directly to that webtoon artist's apartment. Could've continued his conquest, added another woman to his growing collection.
But something made him pause.
'When's the last time I just... walked?'
