Chapter 4 - Retaliation.

As expected, she could hear the scrambling of her adversaries, their hands reaching out to push her just as they had before—but this time, she was ready.

"Don't try it!" She said, her voice rising above the tension.

Tina and her friend's hands midair felt electric, an ethereal freeze that coursed through them, rendering their motives null. A

Cindy turned, stepping closer, eyes blazing with an inner strength she'd never fully had before.

"That, you're thinking, don't try it!" she pressed on.

But only words weren't enough to stop Tina and her friends, besides, who will be the witness even if they push her with her knowledge this time around? No one!

"What shouldn't we do, Cindy?" she asked with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.

"Push me down!"

Tina giggled, her laughter ringing like chimes with arched eyebrow she asked mischievously. "And what if we do it, what will you do to us? No one is here, only us and you!"

Tina clapped her hands together, excitement bubbling up within her. "Come on, it won't hurt! Just boom! a little push!"

Cindy sighed, then glared back at Tina and her friend with a grin, and confidence."Sorry to disappoint you, but… I'm not alone…"

"Huh?" Tina and and her two friends exclaimed in unison, glancing around as if expecting someone to be standing somewhere near by, but there was none.

" She's just fucking with us!" Ina said our loud.

"I'm on a live stream!"

"What!!" Tina gasped, her face a mixture of shock and panick. "You're joking, right?" She aaid.

"Tsk tsk tsk... What happened Tina? You look worried!" Cindy smirked.

Tina terrified, Rotated her gaze around, no one was there. Just then, Cindy pointed behind them, a glint of mischief in her own eyes.

"Are you looking for that?" Cindy pointed at the phone behind them and continued,

"Am on a live stream. Do you believe me now? Am not alone!"

"What!!" Tina exclaimed,

She panicked, the atmosphere become blur tensed

" Did–did they hear us?" She stammer.

" Mm–mm!" Cindy nodded with her hand crossed

" Shit!" Tina brushed her temples frustrated, then hurriedly turned away and went back to the banquet tensed.

All the one thousand funs on live stream heard their conversation, that means they also saw went the almost pushed her down.

"This wretched woman! Am gonna teach her a lesson she will never forget! She has yo pay for this bullshit!" She cursed.

Cindy let out a deep gasp of relief, then quickly approached her phone. Picking it from the corner she'd put.

" What Livestream? Huh! " she mumbled, " I don't even own a platform!"

Cindy knew she had to come up with ways to stop her death this time round, without witnesses, Tina wouldn't have stoped , so he had to use the prank Livestream videos she had downloaded on her phone.

And boom! It'd work, it scare Tina and her friends.

"I got saved today, but for how long?" She muttered, her voice barely above her breath.

Turning off her phone she picked up her purse from the floor and walked out of the Hudson mansion with her pale face.

Cindy walked out of the small gate and stood by the roadside to wait for the taxi

Soon a yellow taxi come, she hailed and it halted. Inside was a young man in his late twenties

" Miss, where too?" He asked

"City hospital."

The man started the engine and drove her.

Moments later, when Cindy reached the hospital, she went straight to the cashier to try and negotiate an extension of one more week to pay the bills.

However, she was told that's Margate was transfered to sun city hospital, one of the best and expensive hospitals in town, for further treatment that evening .

Cindy gasped in shock and quickly asked .

"How much will it cost?" I– I will try my best to settle the debt."

The nurse said. " Twenty million dollars."

" What?" Cindy exclaimed in shock.

" Fifteen millions have be cleared and you have five days to settle the balance."

" Who settled the fifteen millions dollars?

The nurse shock her head, "I don't know"

CIndy was so perplexed, but just as she turned to figure out who it was, her gaze fell on a man early sixty with gray hair standing just behind him, with another younger one in his twenties, adrenaline spiked.

They exchanged glances , and the old man bowed and said. " Finally, we found you young mistress! Sorry for the pain you have suffered for all these years."

Tina furrowed , her voice tone changed as she spoke as though she was a completely different person. " What brings you here, Mr Johnson Joe? right?"

Mr Joe grimaced sorrowfully,

"Young mistress," he said gently, "Mr. Lauvera has never stopped grieving since he heard what happened to your parents. He has been searching for you everywhere. Please, let's go back home."

Tina turned away,

"I don't have a home! That's not my home! Just go!" Her voice cracked.

"Young Miss," Mr. Joe pressed, his voice earnest, "are you still mad at your grandpa?" His question hung in the air, thick and heavy.

"Of course! I will never forgive him in my entire life!" Tina shouted, the bitterness spinning from her words.

Mr Joe, sighed dejectedly. " Before I come here, he already told me that you won't for give him "

"Good! Then why did you still come here?"

Mr Joe continued, " Mr Lauvera knows that you have had a hard time in all this five years and asked me to compensate you . And if you don't want to go home, he won't force you but he will open up a biggest company in this town for you. And here, have this card , the pin is your birthday day."

Mr Joe then handed him a premium black card from JP Morgan bank.

" Miss there only few of this cars ain the world and Mr Lauvera got one for you."

Tina shook her head sternly, her black hair whipping around her shoulders,

"No, I don't want it. Take it back to the owner and tell him I can survive on my own. I don't need his mercy!" Her dark eyes blazed with defiance.

"Ms. Margret is still in five million debt," Mr. Joe said, his voice tightening with urgency. "If you don't pay it in time, she will be in danger… and you might suffer of guilt!"

"Are you threatening me?" Tina snapped, her voice like steel striking iron. "Is this part of your sinister plans?"

"Oh no… Young miss," Mr. Joe exclaimed, waving his hands frantically, " We wouldn't dare! Just take the card and clear up the bill. It's…it's for your own good! "

Tina thought for a moment, then let out a deep gasp. " Howuch is in this card?

"Fifty millions, please manage it for now. Mr Lauvera said so."
