Chapter 9 - CHAPTER -9

The Agreement with "Mr. Monster"

"Okay, sir, I agree—but on one condition," I told him. He looked at me seriously and asked, "What is it? Tell me."

I laid it out: "In seven months, I will be able to clear all my debts using my salary. So, for these seven months, you must not fire me from my job under any circumstances if I am not at fault. After those seven months, I will return to my hometown. I can only act as your girlfriend for this period. If you agree to this, then I accept your proposal."

"Fine, I agree to your condition," he said, before glancing toward Shri Sir. Realizing something, Shri Sir quickly brought over a file and handed it to him.

Giving the file to me along with a pen, he said, "Read this agreement and sign it. It contains the conditions you mentioned, along with mine. Read them carefully before signing." I checked to ensure my terms were included and then reviewed his conditions. Finding nothing inappropriate, I thought for a moment and then signed the document.

"Okay, thank you so much. Meet me after office hours this evening. Now, you can get back to work," he said in a deep, commanding voice and walked away.

Are you wondering who I'm calling "Mr. Monster"? It's this psycho guy. I felt the name suited him perfectly, so I gave him that nickname.

After he left, I noticed Shri Sir trying to hide his laughter behind his hand. "Shri Sir, does any of this seem fair to you?" I asked him, feeling completely drained.

"What did I do, Hasini? You're accusing me unfairly," Shri Sir replied, putting on an innocent face.

"What else, sir? He's using my job as a weapon to escape his marriage and plans to torture me, and here you are, laughing at me? This isn't right, sir," I said, pouting in frustration.

"Now this is rich, Hasini! He's playing games with you, and now you want to play games with me?" Shri Sir teased. "Besides, it's your fault, Hasini. While he was busy thinking of ways to avoid his wedding, you walked right in, hit him, and got yourself caught in his trap. What can I do about that?"

"Forget it, sir. Don't do anything. It is all my fault. I acted like I was the CEO of this company and ended up hitting the actual CEO without knowing who he was. I suppose I deserve this punishment. It's just my fate," I muttered to myself as I walked back to my workspace.

Left alone, Shri sighed. "I feel bad for Hasini. I thought about convincing him to find someone else, but I can't go against his word. God, it's all in your hands now. Please make sure their journey together goes smoothly, rather than being filled with constant fights," he prayed, looking upward, before heading back to his desk.
