Chapter 31 - Direwolf beast's adancement

"Damn beast!"

Mo Fan wiped the flames off himself, cursing under his breath.

He had thought he was strong enough, but he hadn't expected to encounter trouble so soon after delving a little deeper.

However, this Flame Howl Wolf, whether it was its combat power, speed, or even its ranged attacks, was something Mo Fan greatly admired. But first, he had to defeat it before he could think of anything else!

The Shadow Element's Star Atlas began to fluctuate. Mo Fan stood there, watching the Devil Wolf while sketching the Star Atlas.

Seeing Mo Fan not attack for a long time, the Flame Howl Wolf seemed to sense something and immediately pounced.

Unfortunately, it missed its best opportunity!

"Giant Shadow Nail!"

"Pfft!"

As the black Star Atlas completed, a massive nail instantly pinned the Flame Howl Wolf to the ground.

"Azure Flame - Fierce Fist - Earth Annihilation!"

Azure flames ignited at his feet, enveloping Mo Fan. The Fierce Fist formed a ring, and as the magic incantation sounded, it instantly gathered at his wrist. Immediately after, his fist slammed heavily into the ground below. The scorching flame energy instantly surged into the ground, and a crimson energy band could be seen rapidly spreading along the surface to the Flame Howl Wolf's location.

"Boom, boom, boom!!!"

Suddenly, the ground cracked open, and incredibly thick Azure flames erupted, transforming into a death-infused Azure Fire Demon Lotus that exploded with a roar!

The Fire Demon Lotus had a huge range, and pillars of flame surged forth. The Flame Howl Wolf, being locked in place, was completely bombarded!

"Woo woo woo~~~"

Enveloped by the Azure lotus flames, the Flame Howl Wolf let out cries of agony, but soon, the sounds completely vanished, and at the same time, a wisp of remnant soul floated out.

After the Flame Howl Wolf was eliminated, the surrounding Fire Devil Wolves howled in fear and scattered, fleeing in all directions.

"Phew."

Only after defeating the Flame Howl Wolf did Mo Fan finally let out a slight sigh of relief.

"I still need to master the Giant Shadow Nail as soon as possible."

Only this kind of unpredictable dark control was the easiest way to restrain it. Otherwise, no matter how high the output, not being able to hit was still a problem. Of course, the main reason was that this Flame Howl Wolf was more cunning; as soon as he released an Intermediate Mage magic, it would almost always flee without hesitation.

After dealing with a few Devil Wolves there, Mo Fan immediately left.

Upon returning to the outpost, he processed the demon materials, exchanged them for some healing medicines, and then rested at the outpost.

In the following days, he lingered in the territory of the Fire Devil Wolf clan. And fighting in the same den as the Flame Howl Wolf indeed continuously increased his experience points.

At first, he would be very exhausted after a battle, but as he became more proficient with the skills of various magic systems, that kind of discomfiture and fatigue no longer appeared on him.

Unconsciously, almost two months had passed.

And within those two months, Mo Fan had hunted hundreds of Fire Devil Wolves and eliminated over ten Flame Howl Wolves.

Before the start of the school term, he finally condensed a complete Spirit Essence.

This was a Flame Howl Wolf Spirit Essence entirely condensed from the Fire Devil Wolf clan. With the Spirit Essence, Mo Fan took out the blood he had collected during this period, which had been refined by the Magic Association.

In an open space behind Bo City.

This place was originally the territory of Mu Family Manor, but now, it had been completely incorporated into the municipal area. Coupled with the fact that a defense base was being built here, there were no restrictions.

After Mo Fan arrived here, he summoned the Dire Wolf Beast.

"Woo~~~"

The Dire Wolf Beast let out a cry, the entire wolf appearing somewhat solemn and serious. It also knew that today was a very important day for it.

This was the only time it came out without needing to fight. It was the day its "father" would help it advance.

"This stuff here will help you advance. Give me some effort, you hear? If you don't succeed in advancing, don't even think about returning to the Summoning Plane. I'll stew you right here." Mo Fan said.

"Awoo woo woo~~~"

The Dire Wolf Beast whimpered, lowering its head like a husky.

"Silly dog."

Looking at its appearance, Mo Fan laughed and cursed, then got straight to the point.

Although Dimensional Summoning creatures were essentially temporary workers, they had their own lives. One day, they might become kings or overlords in the Dimensional Plane and stop working for you. But Mo Fan still trusted this wolf cub.

First, blood cleansing, then soul shaping, and finally body strengthening—Mo Fan firmly remembered these enhancement sequences. The Summoning Element's magic energy was mostly used to feed summoned beasts, and a large amount of magic energy was consumed during enhancement.

Blood cleansing was a gradual process. It was somewhat like a hospital drawing blood from a patient and then transfusing it back; 50% of the summoned beast's blood had to be completely drawn out first, and then fresh bloodlines were injected to regenerate blood.

This process had to be very careful, as creatures like the Dire Wolf Beast would be on the verge of death if they lost more than 50% of their blood. Mo Fan had practiced this when drawing the blood of the Flame Howl Wolf and Fire Devil Wolf before. Now, he was quite experienced.

Wolf bloodlines often provided greater help to wolves and were less likely to cause rejection. Although there was some blood rejection when the fresh Commander bloodline entered the Dire Wolf Beast's body, it eventually merged.

The nobler the bloodline, the stronger the power it provided to a creature. Therefore, bloodline has always been the most important aspect of a creature.

After merging with this half of the Commander bloodline, Mo Fan gave the Dire Wolf Beast some time to recuperate, allowing its vitality to recover.

The battle-hungry Dire Wolf Beast did not disappoint, getting back up and howling at Mo Fan, indicating it was ready for the next step.

Soul shaping was more dangerous. The soul has always been the most fragile part of life. Nowadays, some magic directly attacks the soul, and the pain is more than ten times greater than normal injury.

If one accidentally shattered the original soul and failed to implant the new one, the Dire Wolf Beast would be crippled.

The soul test was a test of will. Mo Fan couldn't do much about this; it all depended on whether the Dire Wolf Beast could endure it.

"Woo woo woo~~~"

The moment the soul infiltrated, the Dire Wolf Beast let out a painful roar.

Demons are categorized by rank; higher-ranked creatures naturally have a deterrent effect on lower-ranked ones. The most terrifying thing that can happen when a Commander's soul enters a soul is soul devouring!

A Commander's soul is of a higher rank than a Servant's soul, naturally following the law of the jungle. The Dire Wolf Beast had to withstand the pressure of the Commander's soul, otherwise, its own soul would be devoured, and it would completely become a walking corpse.

"If you want to become strong, if you want female wolves to line up for you, then snap out of it. Your only master is me. Besides me, you don't need to care about any other wolf creatures!" Mo Fan encouraged and reminded it from outside.

"Awoo~~~!!!"

Although the Dire Wolf Beast looked very pained, Mo Fan's words clearly provided it with great help.

Fortunately, after about ten minutes, although the process was very painful, it persevered!

"Damn, you're a lustful wolf too, huh? Is it because I said female wolves would line up that you held on?" Mo Fan said, teasing the Dire Wolf Beast.

"Woo woo woo~~~"

The Dire Wolf Beast indicated that it hadn't thought about that. Well, maybe just a tiny, tiny bit of that reason~~~

After all, as a demon beast, who wouldn't want to have their own large tribe, a demon empire...
