Hinata enters the house.
Hinata: "Mom, I'm home!"
Hinata's Mom: "You're quite late getting back."
Hinata: "I had some school-related work. By the way, Mom, I need to talk to you about something."
Hinata's Mom: "Go ahead."
Hinata: "I have a classmate whose dad is in hotel management. The hotel he worked at closed down for some reason and now he's out of a job. Can you get him a position at one of your restaurants?"
Hinata's Mom: "Hinata, do you realize what you're asking?"
Hinata: "I just wanted to help my classmate. I already told her to have her dad show up at the restaurant tomorrow at 11:00 AM... sorry, Mom."
Hinata's Mom: "Giving someone a job isn't that simple. Anyway, which restaurant did you tell them to go to?"
Hinata: "Umm... Rose Stars."
Hinata's Mom: "There isn't a single opening for a job there right now."
Hinata looks at her mom with a perfectly innocent, pleading face. "Mom, please?"
Hinata's Mom: "Fine... I'll see what I can do. But I'm not promising anything."
Hinata: "Thank you so much, Mom! I love you!"
Hinata's Mom: "I only said I'd look into it, it's not confirmed yet."
Hinata: "I know you'll handle it. I'm going to go freshen up now."
Hinata goes to her room. She takes a photo of herself drinking the lychee juice and sends it to Hakuo with a message: "Thanks again for the juice." Then, she heads off to take a shower.
Hakuo reads Hinata's message and smiles while looking at her photo. He thinks to himself: It's so strange... she recognized me that first day, so why did she pretend not to? And she didn't even ask why I was pretending not to recognize her either.
The Next Day: School Lunch Break
The scene opens in Class 3A.
Hakuo: "Kojo, should we invite Hinata for lunch? I don't think she has many friends. We should ask her to join us."
Kojo: "Sure, let's head to her class."
The scene shifts to Class 2A.
During the break, Kaito is studying while Hinata has her head down on the desk, sleeping. As soon as Hakuo and Kojo enter the room, the class erupts into whispers and noise. All the girls in the class can't stop staring at the two seniors.
Hakuo and Kojo scan the room for Hinata and finally spot her at the window seat. They walk over to her desk. Kaito notices them.
Kaito: "What's up? Why are you guys here?"
The noise wakes Hinata up. She looks at Kaito, then at Hakuo and Kojo, then back at Kaito.
Hinata: "I think I'm still dreaming... it feels like Hakuo and Kojo are standing right next to me."
Hakuo: "You're not dreaming. We're really here."
Hinata looks at them with a smile. "Are you guys actually talking to me?"
Kaito lightly taps Hinata on the head. "Wake up. This isn't a dream."
Hakuo and Kojo glare at Kaito for hitting her. Hinata looks at them again, still dazed. "Wait, are they really here?"
Hakuo: "We just came to ask if you'd like to have lunch with us."
Hinata: "Yeah, why not! Let's all four of us have lunch together."
Kojo: "Four? Who's the fourth?"
Hinata: "Kaito, who else?"
Kojo: "Oh. Right."
Kaito: "I'm not having lunch right now. You guys go ahead."
Hinata: "But why?"
Kaito: "Because I don't want to."
Hinata: "Then go to hell."
Kaito: "Thanks."
Hinata suddenly notices her classmates staring at them. "Why is everyone looking at us like that?"
Kaito: "Because of them."
Hinata: "Because of who?"
Kaito: "Sasaki and Suzuki. These two are famous in this school. Of course students are going to stare."
Hinata: "Oh! I see."
They walk out of the classroom together.
Kojo: "We usually have lunch on the school rooftop. Let's go there."
