Chapter 1 - the hyderabad problem

Hyderabad was the largest princely state of Indian territory.its ruler mir osman ali Khan (1886-1967) titled as nizam,was one of the world's richest men.he wanted an independent status for hyderabad.he entered into the standstill agreement with India in November 1947.

The people of Hyderabad in the telengana region and women participated in the anti-nizam movement. the communists and the hyderabad Congress led this movement. Hyderabad was the nerve centre of the movement.
