......

The argument went on for several more tense minutes.

Thor refused to back down.

Tony refused to let him.

Clint kept pacing.

Steve stayed silent, but his jaw was tight.

Natasha watched carefully, arms crossed, reading the room the way only she could.

And through it all, the Infinity Gauntlet continued to hum on the table—its six stones glowing like contained stars.

Finally, Bruce stepped forward.

"Enough," he said quietly, but firmly.

The room fell silent.

He looked at each of them in turn. "It's mostly gamma radiation. If there's anyone here who has the best chance of surviving this… it's me."

"Bruce…" Natasha started softly.

He gave her a small, reassuring smile. "It's okay."

Tony hesitated—but only for a second. Then he nodded once. "FRIDAY, initiate full facility lockdown."

"Lockdown engaged," the AI responded.

Within seconds, heavy metal panels slid into place. The room sealed itself shut.

Slowly, Bruce slid his hand into the Infinity Gauntlet.

Everyone instinctively moved, taking cover behind reinforced structures. No one knew what was about to happen.

The nanotech adjusted instantly, reshaping to fit him.

The moment it locked into place—

Gamma radiation burst outward, surging into Bruce's body like a tidal wave. Multicolored light—cosmic, blinding, almost like a violent rainbow—erupted from the stones as they flared to life.

Bruce dropped to one knee.

"AHHHHHH—!!"

He screamed, trying to endure the unimaginable force of all six Infinity Stones.

Machines sparked violently.

Thor panicked at the sight. "Take it off! Bruce, let go!"

"No—wait!" Steve shouted. "Bruce, are you okay?!"

The energy continued to spread, cracking the floor beneath him.

Even Allen's eyes sharpened slightly as he watched.

"Allen… is he going to be okay?" Mikaela asked, her voice shaken. She clung tightly to him, unable to bear the sight.

"Hold on, big guy!" Tony shouted.

Bruce's entire body trembled. His arm burned, the energy crawling across his skin like molten fire. The smell of scorched flesh filled the air.

"Bring… everyone… back…" Bruce growled through the pain, forcing the words out as he fought to stay conscious.

And then—

Snap.

For one single heartbeat—

Silence.

The light vanished.

The hum stopped.

Bruce collapsed forward. The gauntlet smoked heavily, his arm severely burned and mangled from the radiation.

"Bruce!" Natasha and Clint rushed to his side.

Tony immediately scanned him with his suit. "He's alive! He's alive!"

A heavy, collective breath filled the room. Some of them hadn't even realized they were holding it.

Allen leaned back slightly in his chair, Raviel still calm in his arms, Mikaela slowly loosening her grip.

Bruce groaned, forcing himself to stay conscious despite the unbearable pain burning through his arm.

"Did it work?" he asked hoarsely, looking at the others while clutching his injured hand.

Thor stepped closer, his expression filled with worry. "It was worth the attempt. It is done now. Rest, my friend."

The sealed doors slowly slid open as the lockdown disengaged.

"I'll check outside," Scott said quickly, hurrying out to see if anything had changed.

The room was still heavy with tension—uncertain, waiting.

And then—

A phone started ringing.

The sharp sound cut through the silence.

Everyone froze.

Natasha turned toward the noise. "Clint… it's yours."

Clint stared at his pocket like it was something unreal.

Natasha picked up the phone and glanced at the screen. Her breath caught.

"It's Laura," she said softly.

For a second, no one moved.

Natasha looked up at him, her eyes already beginning to glisten.

"We did it, Clint. Laura's back."

Clint's hands started trembling.

Slowly—almost fearfully—he took the phone from her.

His throat tightened as he answered.

"…Honey?"

His voice broke on the single word.

Clint had barely managed to whisper, "…Honey?"—

When—

BOOOOM!!!

The entire Avengers facility shook violently.

The explosion tore through the building like a tidal wave of fire and concrete. The floor beneath them ruptured instantly.

Walls shattered.

Steel beams twisted.

The ceiling collapsed.

Tony's HUD flared red as debris rained down. "Incoming—!"

The shockwave hit.

Natasha, Steve, Thor, and Clint were thrown backward. Bruce, still weakened from the snap, was knocked off his feet as the ground beneath him gave way.

A massive crater ripped open through the foundation.

Some of them fell.

Some barely managed to grab onto broken ledges.

Dust and smoke swallowed everything.

In the middle of the chaos—

Allen reacted instantly.

Without hesitation, he pulled Raviel and Mikaela tightly into his arms, shielding them as debris crashed around them. He also, of course, didn't forget Natasha—he immediately caught her body, which happened to be thrown toward him, and hugged her close.

"Portego," he uttered, and a faint shimmer of energy flickered for the briefest second around the three of them before the falling wreckage split apart—diverted just enough to avoid crushing them.

The floor beneath Allen cracked—but did not fully collapse under him.

Meanwhile—

Tony was blasted downward with the collapsing structure.

Steve slammed into a lower level.

Clint disappeared into the darkness below, still clutching his phone.

Thor was buried under layers of rubble.

Scott, who had just stepped outside, was thrown violently back by the shockwave.

The entire Avengers compound collapsed inward, sinking into the ground like a dying titan.

Silence followed.

Smoke.

Rubble.

Flames flickering between shattered steel.

Then—

A deep, mechanical rumble echoed from above.

Through the dust-filled sky, an enormous alien warship hovered ominously over the ruins.

Its cannons still glowed from the barrage.

The ship belonged to Thanos.

His armada had arrived—from the past—dragged forward into the future.

And now it hovered above the destroyed compound, weapons aimed downward.

Another wave of energy built along its hull.

The war had officially begun.

"Are you all okay?" Allen said, asking Mikaela, Raviel, and Natasha.

"Y-yes, I'm okay," Mikaela replied, even though she was a bit frightened right now because she was startled by the explosion.

Meanwhile, Raviel just nodded while hugging Allen's back, as if she didn't want to let go of him.

Meanwhile, for Natasha, she immediately opened her eyes and realized she was in Allen's embrace. "H-hmm, Allen, can you let me go now?" Natasha said, because right now one of his hands that was hugging her was holding her breast.

And of course, Allen could feel it—his hand had accidentally ended up cupping one of Natasha's breasts. For a split second, he could've pulled away.

But he didn't.

Since he was already there… and considering the rather compromising position they were in, Allen shamelessly decided to take advantage of the moment. His fingers flexed deliberately, squeezing the soft, warm curve in his palm once… then again… slow and unhurried, as if testing just how far he could push his luck.

Natasha felt it. Every single movement.

The pressure. The way his fingers kneaded through the fabric. The unmistakable intent behind it.

And yet—

As a seasoned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who had spent years in dangerous, unpredictable situations, Natasha remained perfectly composed. Her breathing didn't hitch. Her expression barely shifted. To anyone watching, it would've looked like nothing more than an accidental brush in the chaos.

But her eyes flickered—just slightly.

"Ohhh, right and sry about this," Allen muttered casually after hearing Natasha tell him to let go, as if he had only just remembered something important.

Finally, he withdrew his hand… though the faint reluctance in the way his fingers slowly dragged away from that soft, tempting warmth was impossible to miss. For a moment longer than necessary, his palm lingered against her before he fully pulled back.

And then, as if nothing inappropriate had just happened, he straightened up with that same easygoing smile on his face—calm, shameless, and entirely unbothered.

Allen stood up and moved as if he were about to step outside to check on the situation.

"Allen, where are you going?" Mikaela asked.

"I'm going to check on the others first," Allen replied before glancing at Raviel. "Honey, can you watch over Mikaela for me?"

"Of course. Leave it to me," Raviel answered cheerfully. "You go have some fun and beat them up, tiger."

Allen couldn't help but grin at that. With a small chuckle, he headed outside.

Natasha, seeing him leave to investigate, quickly followed. "Hey, wait. I'm coming with you," she said.

Noticing her catching up, Allen slowed his pace slightly so she could walk beside him.

Amid the rubble outside, they spotted Thor, Tony, and Steve already looking out toward the sky.

Allen and Natasha approached them immediately.

"Is he the one who attacked us?" Allen asked, pretending not to know that the one responsible was Thanos.

Tony glanced at Allen, then at Natasha standing beside him. "Oh, looks like you're doing fine, new guy," he said dryly. "Yeah, that's the one who attacked us. His name's Thanos. And it looks like he brought his entire army with him."

As he spoke, Tony's gaze shifted upward toward the massive warship fleet hovering ominously in the sky.

"But how? How is he here?" Natasha asked, clearly confused. Thanos was supposed to be dead.

"Somehow… he must've followed us from the past," Tony said, his eyes never leaving the distant figure.

"Well, when you mess with time," Allen replied calmly, "eventually time messes back with you."

"What's he doing now? He's just standing there… It looks like he's stalling," Natasha said, narrowing her gaze.

"Where are the Stones?" Steve asked.

"No idea. Probably buried somewhere under all this rubble," Tony answered. "But at least he doesn't have them right now."

"Then let's make sure it stays that way," Steve said firmly.

"In that case, I'll find the Stones and secure them," Natasha declared before quickly moving out.

Now only Allen, Tony, Steve, and Thor remained.

"Well… you do realize this is a trap, right?" Thor said, staring straight at Thanos. The way his shoulders tensed made it obvious he was seconds away from summoning his weapons and charging in—but he held himself back, waiting for the others.

"Yeah… I honestly don't care," Tony replied bluntly. Then he glanced at Allen. "Allen, you in?"

"Of course I am," Allen answered with an easy, confident smile.

Thor looked at each of them and nodded once. "Good… as long as we are all agreed."

He raised both arms.

Lightning surged violently through his body, electricity crawling across his armor. The sky darkened almost instantly as thick storm clouds swirled overhead. Thunder roared across the battlefield, shaking the air itself.

From the ruins in the distance—

Stormbreaker and Mjolnir suddenly lifted into the air—

—and flew straight into Thor's outstretched hands as a massive bolt of lightning split the sky.

The four of them began moving, slowly circling Thanos.

Allen gripped his wand, a hint of excitement flashing in his eyes. This was getting interesting.

[Honey, do you want to use a different power instead? You know that with just your current magic, it'll be hard for you to beat him right now.]

Raviel's voice suddenly echoed through his system.

[Thanks for the offer, babe, but I don't need it. Besides… I can't die anyway. So I think I'll be fine.]

[Alright then. Do your best.]

[Okay, babe.]

A moment later, Allen caught the tail end of Thanos' speech—something about using the Stones to erase everyone and create entirely new universes from scratch.

Allen immediately looked bored.

"Okay… how about you stop talking and we just get this over with?" he interrupted casually.

"Avada Kedavra."

A flash of lethal green light shot from his wand straight toward Thanos—

—but Thanos reacted instantly, swinging his massive double-bladed sword and knocking the spell aside with sheer force.

Thor didn't hesitate.

"AAAAHHHH!" he roared, launching himself forward with Stormbreaker raised high, aiming to bury it into Thanos' head.

At the same time, Captain America hurled his shield, the vibranium disc spinning through the air.

Thanos moved brutally fast.

He struck Thor midair—

—and the God of Thunder was slammed headfirst into the ground, the impact cracking the earth beneath him.

Iron Man soared upward, repulsors blazing as he unleashed a barrage of lasers—

—but Thanos deflected them effortlessly with a powerful sweep of his giant blade.

Allen reacted immediately.

"Bombarda Maxima!"

Boom.

The explosion struck Thanos and pushed him back about a meter, his boots grinding against the broken battlefield.

But Thanos countered just as quickly.

With a vicious kick, he sent Thor's body flying straight toward Allen.

Allen caught Thor midair before the impact could knock them both down.

Then, with a sharp crack of displaced air, Allen Apparated into the sky.

Hovering high above the battlefield, he didn't waste a second—

He hurled Thor back down like a living lightning bolt.

Thor, fully aware he was airborne again, roared as electricity exploded around him—

—and dove straight back toward Thanos for another attack.
