Chapter 1 - 01: Lucifuge Family's Trash

The legendary world where demons, Fallen Angels, and all manner of spirits, Yokai, and Gods resided. DxD.

...

The Underworld,

Within a magnificent ancient castle.

"Hah… hah…"

A young man was working tirelessly, swinging his sword in the courtyard.

"9,997… 9,998… 9,999… 10,000!"

"Huff… puff…"

The young man lowered his longsword, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and continued to pant heavily.

The sixteen-year-old boy had short silver-white hair and a pair of bright black eyes. Though his handsome face still carried traces of immaturity, there was a sense of perseverance and steadiness about him that did not match his age.

"Regulus, you can't be lazy. Today, you must swing your sword one hundred thousand times."

A cold, serious voice sounded from behind him.

"Understood, Sister!"

Regulus nodded helplessly.

"She's always so serious during training. Not cute at all."

He muttered under his breath and resumed swinging his sword.

Regulus was a transmigrator.

The circumstances of his transmigration were no longer traceable. His current name was Regulus Lucifuge.

When he first arrived in this world, he had been somewhat skeptical. But after several years, Regulus had completely confirmed it.

This world that had given him a new life was indeed the High School DxD world.

Devils, Fallen Angels, yokai, spirits, angels, even dragons and gods. All those beings that should have existed only in fantasy were real here.

And the person who had just spoken was his sister, Grayfia Lucifuge.

She had once been the Queen of the original Satan Lucifer, known as the strongest Queen among all Peerages in the Underworld, bearing the title of the Silver-haired Queen of Annihilation.

However, she was no longer the original Lucifer's Queen.

Grayfia had been born among the Extra-Demons, into the prestigious Lucifuge clan, a family that had served as confidants to the Old Satan Lucifer for generations.

During the devil civil war, she fought against the Reform Faction as a member of the Old Satan Faction and eventually competed with Maou Serafall for the title of the strongest female devil.

Although she lost that contest, her strength had already reached Maou-class level.

Because of this, the Lucifuge clan became a powerful family in the Underworld and later broke away from the Lucifer clan.

However, due to the war with the Reform Faction, the entire Lucifuge clan had been reduced to only two remaining members. And Regulus was the last male of the Lucifuge clan.

At first, Regulus had believed that being born into such a prestigious devil family and having such a powerful sister meant that he would naturally possess great strength, crush the various High-class devils and Satans, and take all the girls he liked as his Peerage members.

In this regard, Riser Phenix could be considered a role model for all devils.

However, ideals were beautiful, while reality was cruel.

As the last heir of the Lucifuge clan, Regulus did not possess strong talent.

Despite training diligently for more than ten years, he currently had only the strength of a Low-class Devil.

Rias and Sona, who were the same age as him, had already reached High-class Devil level long ago.

With talent like this, even he had thought about giving up on his dreams, yet his sister Grayfia had never given up on him.

She continued to strictly oversee his daily training without fail.

Because of this, Regulus's reputation as "trash" had spread throughout the Underworld. But he did not care.

"99,997… 99,998… 99,999… 100,000!"

"Huff… puff…"

"Finally finished the sword-swinging training."

Regulus's hands trembled as he bent over, supporting himself on his knees.

Sweat fell from his face in heavy drops, and he did not even have the strength to wipe it away. However, this was only the beginning of a day's training.

"Regulus, take a break first. We'll start training your magic in a bit."

Seeing how hard Regulus was working, Grayfia finally allowed a faint smile to appear.

"Huff… got it, Sister!"

Hearing that he could finally rest for a while, Regulus sat down on the ground in exhaustion.

After resting briefly, it was time to learn magic. However, with his poor talent, he had only mastered a handful of basic spells over the years: Teleportation circles, memory erasure, Magic Bullets, healing magic, and most importantly, contract magic.

To sign a contract with a Peerage member or a familiar, one had to use contract magic. Of course, forming a Peerage contract also required Devil Chess Pieces.

High School DxD was an extremely exciting world.

Although humans made up the vast majority of its population, the true rulers of this world were the Satans and gods.

And above even them stood Ophis, known as the Infinite Dragon God, and Trihexa, the 666, alongside the True Red Dragon God, also known as the Great Red.

These were the beings that stood at the very pinnacle of this world.

In such an exciting world, Regulus was naturally unwilling to remain ordinary.

He could not accept watching the girls he liked fall into the arms of others.

Since he refused to be ordinary, then he would do things on a grand scale.

If he lacked talent in magic, then he would hone his swordsmanship.

When other children were playing, he was training.

When others were resting, he was still training.

Because of this relentless drive, his swordsmanship had reached the level of mastery.

In terms of swordsmanship alone, he was confident that no one in this world could rival him.

In his previous life, he had been nothing more than an ordinary person. But now that he had come to this dangerous and exciting world, he naturally had to pursue his dreams.

And to realize those dreams, he needed POWER.
