Chapter 10 - offered job 10

Alexander said he was offering me a job.

Cristina asked, "In dreams? How?"

Alexander replied, "When you sleep, you will come here automatically with that card. You will work here. You will take help from the library, fill journals, do accounting calculations, updates, and similar tasks."

Cristina asked, "Will I get paid?"

Alexander said, "Yes. €9,500 per day."

Cristina was shocked. It was an enormous amount of money for a single day.

She asked how she would receive the payment.

Alexander said, "You will receive the cash here. When morning comes in your world, the money will go with you."

Cristina hesitated and said, "But—"

She stopped, already knowing that such payment must come with a condition.

Alexander said calmly, "Each day could be your last."

He explained that a demon would come and sit in the chair beside her. The demon would instruct her on what to do, and she would have to follow those instructions. He would be helpful. The only condition was that she must never look into his eyes or at his face.

Cristina asked, "What happens if I do?"

Alexander replied, "He will drag you by your hair and take your soul."

He continued, saying that once the work with the demon was completed, the demon would place €9,500 on her desk and say goodbye. Greed might appear, but even then, she must not look into his eyes.

Each day would be the same — the same work, the same money, and the same condition.

If the demon took her soul, she would die in the human world, and her soul would be taken by the demon for one hundred years.

If she worked properly and followed the condition, she could retire whenever she wanted — but only after completing two years. During those two years, she would come directly into this dream world to work.

Cristina asked, "If I spend this money in my world, won't people become suspicious?"

Alexander answered, "No one will question it. They will believe you work for a company and that they pay you. That is part of the magic. You can buy anything, anytime. But remember — each day could still be your last if you do something wrong."

Cristina asked Alexander how long he had worked there.

He replied, "Two years are completed. I am retiring. I earned a lot and built everything. I will recruit you, and then I will leave in three months."

Cristina said, "It must have been hard."

Alexander nodded and said, "Yes. But the demon is helpful. He speaks like a human. He will come to you in human form, so you don't need to worry. Just remember the rule.....

Then Alexander said he would give me three days to think.

He said, "You don't have to decide now."

"If you choose to come," he continued, "you will return directly on the fourth day."

"And if you decide not to come," he said, "you must burn the card. Once it is burned, everything will be gone."

He looked at me calmly, as if the choice was simple.

He added one more thing.

"If you choose not to come," he said, "you will not remember this offer anymore. You will forget everything about it."

His voice remained calm, almost kind.

"As if it never happened."

Three days.
