Chapter 38 - CH.37

Lady Malfoy had similar characteristics to the Black family. She was very pale with blue eyes and long blonde hair. She also possessed an arrogant look on her face that Harrison saw a couple of times on Blacks, besides the crazed glint which was strangely absent. She also looked similar to Bellatrix. Lord Malfoy had shoulder length blonde hair and grey eyes that were similar to Draco. He had a walking stick in his hand with a snake head that Harrison could only assume contained his wand.

"Mother, Father, this is Harrison who I talked about during my letters," Draco said.

"Pleased to meet you, Lord and Lady Malfoy," Harrison said, bowing slightly. "I'm Lord Harrison Peverell-Slytherin."

"Please meet you, Lord Peverell-Slytherin… I'm Lord Lucius Malfoy and this is my wife, Lady Narcissa Malfoy… Draco has written about you countless times when he mentioned that an ex-prisoner of Azkaban was sharing a dorm with him."

"An unfortunate precedent, but I also wouldn't trade it for anything as I was taught everything I know from them," Harrison told them.

"I'm pretty sure your former family would have had something to do with it," Lord Malfoy drawled. "Especially doing a public disownment like that… Most families would do that in private as it's a disgraceful thing."

"The Potters always had a flair of dramatics," Harrison said.

"Indeed."

Draco cleared his throat, "Perhaps we should head back to the manor and discuss these matters there?"

"Right," Lord Malfoy hummed.

They headed towards the floo stations. They each picked up a handful of floo powder and said, "Malfoy Manor." Green flames consumed them, and was a fast, whirring speed that made Harrison close his eyes as he passed through various fireplaces until his feet stumbled out of the fireplace and into the drawing room of Malfoy Manor.

Malfoy Manor was dimly lit with a long ornate table in the center of it. Two chandeliers hung from the ceiling- that were about thirty feet tall. A pipe organ sat in the corner end of the room, with an ornate, marble, mantel fireplace with a gilded mirror hanging on top of it. There were armchairs all around the room, with dark purple walls with portraits of pale blonde figures that Harrison assumed were past Malfoy members. Everything in this room screamed rich and no doubt that the rest of the manor was like this as well.

"Really lovely manor, Lord and Lady Malfoy," Harrison said.

"Thank you, Lord Peverell-Slytherin," Narcissa replied, a small smile forming on her features.

"You can just call me Harrison," He told them.

They nodded.

"Well then Harrison… We're pleasantly surprised that you chose to visit us. We thought you'd be like your former family," Lord Malfoy told him.

"Mother, Father, are you really interrogating him? He's my friend," Draco protested.

"It's fine, Draco…" Harrison brushed him off, "Besides I'm pretty sure they're curious about the sort of company you're hanging with… It is a parent's right to get to know their child's friends."

"Right you are," Lord Malfoy said.

"Draco, just go on without me… I'll find you as soon we're done chatting," Harrison told him.

Draco rolled his eyes, but headed out of the room, closing the door behind him. Harrison turned his gaze back towards Lord and Lady Malfoy.

"I don't have many relations with them… They abandoned me way before Azkaban and after I was sent there… They allowed it to happen. They didn't care for me in any way."

"You grew up with the imprisoned Death Eaters?" Lady Malfoy questioned.

"I did," Harrison confirmed.

"Did you see my sister or my niece perhaps?"

"I shared cells with them during my time there," Harrison told her.

"How is Elladora?" Narcissa questioned.

"Surviving… Just like everyone else in that hellhole."

Narcissa pursed her lips, and Harrison was about to turn on his heel, before he realized that he had no idea where the library was at.

"Where is the library, Lord Malfoy? I realize I want to do some research." Harrison asked.

"You can just call us Narcissa and Lucius," Lucius told him.

"Of course…"

"Libby!"

A small pop was heard echoing throughout the room. A house elf wearing a raggedy, old pillowcase with brown tennis ball shaped eyes, and large ears that hung down lowly. The house elf was really skinny, with bones protruding and standing in front of them.

"What could master need?" The house elf questioned.

"Show Harrison, where the library is at," Lucius ordered.

Harrison followed the house elf down equistate corridors. The corridors were dimly lit, with several statues and portraits from Draco's past ancestors. There were carpets covering the stone floor, and bronze door knobs on all the doors. Libby opened a set of wide, dark doors and Harrison stepped forth.

"The library," Libby announced, before disappearing in a white puff of smoke.

Malfoy's library was grand. Bookshelves lined with books, and scrolls- all categorized by section. Magic filled the air- several wards and protection spells keyed to Malfoys, no doubt. He walked further in, taking a look at the spines at the darker spells that were borderline grey, and the old spines. He touched a few of them on their spines, noting the lack of dust on them.

It wasn't until Harrison reached the back section, when he realized he felt dark magic near him.

What was a dark object laying out? Harrison thought.
