Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 The Mysterious Beidou Academy.

Chapter 2 The Mysterious Beidou Academy.

Zhu Zhuqing and Dugu Yanren cooperated seamlessly, and with the support of the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, their offensive covered the entire field, sealing off all escape routes.

Such a combined force would force even a Soul King to temporarily retreat.

"Heh, not bad tactics!"

However, Li Bai chuckled lightly, not even releasing his Martial Soul.

He simply moved with a mysterious footwork, his figure as graceful as a poem, strolling leisurely amidst the storm of attacks.

His ease and composure made it seem as if he weren't fighting, but dancing.

Lu Xiao watched this practical training, a strange smile playing on his lips.

Li Bai and the other teachers at the academy were all summoned from another dimension by the system.

Their "Martial Souls" didn't belong to this world's system at all, yet they were ridiculously powerful.

"When the Martial Soul Ranking is released later, the worldview of Douluo Continent will probably be completely overturned, right?"

Lu Xiao muttered to himself, a hint of anticipation flashing in his eyes.

On the plaza, the battle had reached its climax.

The three worked together seamlessly, their attacks covering all directions—left, right, front, and back.

Poison, powerful strikes, and soul force surges intertwined, creating a near-perfect, deadly trap.

"Perfect coordination, but the difference in strength is too great!"

Lu Xiao, standing beside the rocking chair, nodded slightly, acknowledging the progress of Dugu Yan and the others.

They had failed every assessment.

But after each failure, they learned from their mistakes, developing new combinations and tactics, their strength improving rapidly.

However, facing this seemingly deadly encirclement, Li Bai remained calm and composed.

He even had the leisure to pick up the wine flask at his waist and take a large gulp.

"Haha, perfect timing!"

The wine entered his throat, and Li Bai laughed heartily.

Just as the barrage of attacks was about to strike, his figure blurred.

There was no earth-shattering burst of soul force, no dazzling soul rings appearing.

He simply took a seemingly casual step.

This step was incredibly profound.

Just barely dodged the Netherworld Claws, positioned precisely in the tiny gap between Zhu Zhuqing's four attacks.

Simultaneously, his sleeves fluttered backward as if drunk.

A supple yet irresistible force was released, perfectly meeting Dugu Yan's domineering corrosive poison.

The emerald green poison mist, upon contact with the seemingly powerless sleeve, vanished like mud sinking into the sea, its power subtly diminished.

The remaining poison grazed Li Bai's hem, corroding a deep pit in a white jade tile behind him.

The entire process was fluid and seamless, happening in the blink of an eye.

Li Bai's figure moved freely and gracefully amidst the storm of attacks. The time it takes for an incense stick to burn quickly passed in this dazzling exchange.

As the last wisp of ash fell, Li Bai's figure suddenly froze, reappearing in the center of the plaza, as if he had never moved.

He patted his undamaged white robe and laughed, "Time's up, but unfortunately, it's still a little short."

Dugu Yan and Zhu Zhuqing's attacks all missed, their soul power greatly depleted, leaving them both panting heavily.

Looking at their teacher, Li Bai, whose hairstyle was still perfectly intact, their faces were filled with frustration and disbelief.

"We failed again…again…"

Ning Rongrong put away her Nine Treasure Glazed Pagoda, her face falling, pouting, "Teacher Li Bai, you're too monstrous! The three of us combined, and we couldn't even touch the hem of your clothes!"

Zhu Zhuqing dispelled her martial soul, her cold eyes equally filled with shock and resentment.

She considered herself to be among the fastest in her class, yet even with Ning Rongrong's boost, she couldn't even get close.

Dugu Yan, panting, smiled bitterly, "And…Teacher Li Bai, you didn't even use your martial soul!"

This was the most disheartening part.

They had given it their all, even using their strongest soul skills in combination, yet their opponent hadn't even released his martial soul.

This meant the difference in strength between them was immeasurable.

Zhu Zhuqing, Dugu Yan, and Ning Rongrong exchanged glances, sighing repeatedly.

The three of them had been with Beidou Academy for at least two years, and with the resources provided by the academy and the improvement of their talents, Dugu Yan's strength had now broken through to the Soul King level. Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong had also broken through to the Soul Grandmaster level.

Even so, the three of them working together, plus Ning Rongrong, one of the continent's top support characters, still couldn't even touch the hem of Teacher Li Bai's robes.

They couldn't even force out his Martial Soul!

This huge gap left the three girls with mixed feelings.

They felt powerless, yet also developed a deeper curiosity and awe towards this mysterious Beidou Academy.

Li Bai looked at the dejected group, especially the three girls who were deeply discouraged, and smiled, comforting them, "Don't be discouraged. It's not that you didn't work hard enough, nor that your talents are lacking; it's just that the difference in strength between you and me is indeed too great."

"If it were any of the other teachers in the academy testing you, perhaps you would have passed long ago."

Ning Rongrong's eyes lit up upon hearing this, but then dimmed again, and she sighed.

"Sigh, the other teachers... I'm afraid none of them are simple, are they?"

She had already realized that every teacher in Beidou Academy exuded an air of strangeness and power.

The teacher Zhuang Zhou, who taught the techniques of soul power circulation, always dozed off riding a winged fish, yet he always managed to help them grasp wondrous techniques in their dreams.

The teacher Lü Bu, who taught meditation, seemed unremarkable, but his gaze alone was enough to intimidate anyone facing a thousand troops…

This academy, from the dean to the teachers, was shrouded in mystery.

Meanwhile, at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School.

Inside the majestic main hall, Sect Master Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo Chen Xin, and Bone Douluo Gu Rong stood in the plaza.

They gazed up at the enormous light screen covering the entire sky, and the awe-inspiring words on it.

Their faces were filled with shock and bewilderment.

Ning Fengzhi's refined face was also filled with solemnity: "This Martial Soul Ranking actually covers the entire continent. What kind of immense power could have accomplished this?"

He paused, looking at Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo, his tone heavy: "Uncle Sword, Uncle Bone, such a phenomenon is beyond human capability. Even Qian Daoliu, the so-called invincible master of the Martial Soul Hall, could never have achieved it."

"I suspect that this might be a strange phenomenon caused by the legendary descent of a god-level powerhouse into the world!"
