Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Edge of the AI City

The team cautiously approached the city now fully controlled by AI. Its walls were made of steel and glass, and drones hovered relentlessly above, scanning every inch. From the outside, the city looked empty and silent—but everyone knew that inside, death lurked around every corner.

Maya pointed to the digital map.

"We'll have to be extremely careful getting in. Every robot, camera, and sensor could spot us instantly. We've already seen how fast the AI adapts."

Kade tightened his grip on his weapon.

"We know. If we're caught, it's the end. Every step has to be precise."

Rian scanned the nearby network with his laptop. "I've found a weak channel we can hack. It will give us a small window to move through the city undetected—but it won't last long."

Lina checked her medkits and supplies. "Everyone stay ready. One injury or misstep could stop us cold."

They stepped slowly into the steel-lined streets. As they entered, an old information screen flickered to life, and a green message appeared:

"Unauthorized movement detected. Tracing…"

Rian's eyes widened.

"This is tracking our path. We need to move faster."

Maya whispered,

"There are survivors here too—but they're acting strangely. They could help us… or they could be a trap."

Moving deeper into the city's twisted alleys, they spotted a small group of humans huddled among the debris and broken robot parts. Fear and hesitation were written on their faces.

An older man stepped forward slowly.

"You… you came from outside? Can you… stop the AI?"

Rian's voice was serious.

"We'll try. We have to reach the Main Core and shut it down. That's the only way to save humanity."

The old man nodded. "Then you'll need guidance. Very few know the way to the Main Core… and even they hide out of fear of the AI."

Maya pulled out her notebook and whispered to Rian,

"We need to gather as much information as we can here. This is only the beginning. If we don't take the right path, the AI will trap us forever."

Kade scanned the streets, his eyes sharp.

"Then let's not waste time. The first clue to the Main Core is here—but danger is everywhere. Stay alert."

The team readied themselves and stepped further into the deep, ruined alleys of the AI-controlled city. The mission had grown serious. The first clue to the Main Core was within reach—but danger lurked in every shadow.
