Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: A's Ninja Academy Grades Weren't Ideal...

With a single step, he walked up to Hayato Ren and stared at him with wide eyes.

"This is art, do you understand art? What does a brat like you know? All you can do is make sarcastic remarks here. If you have the skills, why don't you write one yourself?"

Hayato Ren didn't respond, instead directly tossing out a notebook.

Jiraiya took the small notebook and immediately began reading it in a low voice. He wanted to thoroughly criticize what this brat had written, daring to doubt his "Make-Out Paradise".

"Young Ah Bin's Ninja Academy grades weren't ideal..."

The expression on Jiraiya's face was originally full of disdain, but as the plot progressed step by step, he quickly realized something was wrong.

Compared to this "Young Ah Bin", his own "Make-Out Paradise" was completely and utterly crushed.

After roughly flipping through it, Jiraiya quietly slipped the notebook into his pocket. He needed to find time to properly "study" this masterpiece.

Jiraiya looked at Hayato Ren with a complex expression.

"You're truly a natural genius, kid. Having this kind of talent and becoming a ninja is such a waste. Leave that novel with me for now, I'll find time to get it published for you. Do you have a pen name?"

This was exactly Hayato Ren's goal, considering his future.

Making money through missions was still too slow, and Jiraiya's "Make-Out Paradise" had given him inspiration.

If he could become a famous Ero Manga Novelist in the Shinobi World, wouldn't money come pouring in?

However, the development of the cultural and entertainment industry in this world was still somewhat slow, to the point where Hayato Ren couldn't find any publishers to submit to.

Moreover, those legitimate publishers might not necessarily publish this type of novel.

That's why Hayato Ren had handed "Young Ah Bin" to Jiraiya.

Although Jiraiya's personality was quite eccentric, he wouldn't go so far as to embezzle Hayato Ren's royalties.

"My pen name will be 'Darkness of the Ninja World'."

Hayato Ren responded without hesitation. Since it wasn't exactly a good reputation anyway, he might as well borrow that old man Danzo's nickname.

After all, not everyone could be like Jiraiya, treating that kind of thing as something worth boasting about.

Jiraiya nodded, then said to Namikaze Minato:

"Alright Minato, I have some things to take care of. You can train on your own."

After saying this, without waiting for Namikaze Minato's response, Jiraiya's figure instantly disappeared.

Leaving Hayato Ren and Namikaze Minato staring at each other.

After a period of silence, it was Namikaze Minato who finally broke the quiet atmosphere.

"Ren, you're really amazing. I didn't know you had writing talent too. It's kind of enviable."

Looking at the expression on Namikaze Minato's face, Hayato Ren asked somewhat puzzled:

"Do you know what Jiraiya writes?"

Namikaze Minato shook his head.

"Teacher Jiraiya said my main focus right now is to become stronger and I shouldn't be distracted by such external things."

Hearing this answer, Hayato Ren couldn't help but show a surprised expression on his face.

He never expected Jiraiya to be so "proper." He originally thought Jiraiya would drag Namikaze Minato along to peep at the women's bathhouse.

It seemed the Konoha's "Three Legendary Sannin" were still in their immature stage, lacking the unrestrained demeanor they would exhibit later.

Several days later, Hayato Ren looked at the familiar face before him with an expression of utter despair.

Meanwhile, White Fang wore a brilliant smile.

"Long time no see. We've got another mission. An elite Sand Ninja Puppet Master squad has infiltrated the Land of Fire. Our mission is to eliminate them. Worth mentioning is that I recommended you to join this mission."

Hearing this, Hayato Ren's expression turned even more unpleasant.

His current life wasn't exactly luxurious, but it was quite fulfilling.

During the day, he would casually discuss writing experiences with Jiraiya, and at night, he would spend time with Tsunade. His life was rather comfortable.

But who would have thought White Fang wouldn't let him stay idle.

And the targets of this mission... could they be Akasuna no Sasori's parents?

After all, the current supreme commander of the Sand Ninja was Chiyo. If she learned her son and daughter-in-law died at the hands of Hayato Ren and White Fang, wouldn't she go all out for revenge?

Hayato Ren let out a deep sigh.

"There are so many Jonin in this camp you could choose. Why specifically pick me, just a Chunin?"

White Fang reached out and patted Hayato Ren's head.

"Hehe, because you're the one I'm most familiar with here. Plus, you won't hold me back during missions. Of course, you can refuse. This mission isn't mandatory."

With White Fang putting it that way, Hayato Ren naturally wouldn't choose to back down.

Even in the worst-case scenario, if something went wrong, Charizard could always help Hayato Ren escape.

After all, Charizard's flying speed was something few in the Shinobi World could match.

"I accept this mission, but I'd like to recommend someone who should be able to complete this mission with me. He's my classmate, Namikaze Minato."

Hayato Ren said this, even though Namikaze Minato still held the rank of Genin at this time.

However, he already possessed Jonin-level strength. Combined with his exceptional combat intelligence, he was undoubtedly an excellent partner.

Hearing this, White Fang nodded.

"I've heard of Namikaze Minato's reputation. Since you recommend him, I'll go invite him to try. We'll gather at the camp gate at 8:30 tonight."

After speaking, White Fang's figure disappeared with a "swish."

Meanwhile, Hayato Ren headed toward Tsunade's tent.

Inside the tent, Tsunade was organizing various bottles and jars that appeared to be medicinal ointments or similar items.

Hayato Ren approached from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Teacher, I'm going on a mission."

Hearing this, Tsunade's movements paused for a few seconds before she continued with her work.

She was aware of this matter because White Fang had already told her.

Originally, she was strongly opposed, as the mission sounded extremely dangerous from the start.

But when White Fang said, "Can you protect him for a while, or can you protect him for a lifetime?" Tsunade ultimately agreed.

Now she was busy preparing an antidote for Hayato Ren.

After all, aside from puppets, what Sand Ninja Puppet Masters excelled at most was poisoning.
