Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Another Tuesday, Another Apocalypse

Yuto slouched in his chair, staring at the ceiling. The glow of his laptop illuminated half-eaten instant noodles, a toppled stack of textbooks, and his cat, who had claimed a small hill of papers as its throne. Another Tuesday. Same boredom. Same endless gray monotony.

He sighed and lazily waved a hand over the glowing summoning circle etched into his desk. The circle pulsed faintly in response, almost impatient, as if it had grown tired of waiting for him to care. "Maybe a dragon will make things interesting," Yuto muttered. Not because he was excited, of course—he hadn't felt true excitement in months—but simply because even boredom deserved variety.

With a flick of his finger, flames erupted from the circle. Smoke filled the room, and in a brilliant flash, a massive dragon materialized, knocking over his chair and sending the cat leaping into a bookshelf.

"WHO DARES SUMMON ME?!" the dragon bellowed, smoke curling from its nostrils.

Yuto yawned. "You again… aren't you from last week?"

The dragon froze, confusion flickering in its fiery eyes. "I… am from last week?" it stammered, puffing smoke nervously.

Yuto leaned back, resting his head on the wall. "Yes. And the week before that. And the week before that. Look, I can summon anyone and anything. Heroes, gods, villains, mythical beasts. The universe itself is practically my toy box. And yet…" He gestured vaguely at the ceiling, his voice flat, "life's still boring."

The dragon blinked. "Boring…? You wield cosmic power and you find this… boring?"

"Boring," Yuto repeated, picking up a soda can that had magically appeared in his hand. "Go fetch me a soda."

The dragon's eyes narrowed, smoke hissing from its nostrils. "You are insane."

"Nope," Yuto corrected. "Just bored."

With an audible snap of its claws, the dragon produced the soda. Yuto took a slow sip, sighed in mild satisfaction, and leaned back further. "Refreshing. But still boring."

He glanced at the framed pictures on his wall, snapshots of heroes and villains he had summoned over the years. Some smiled, some battled, all looked impossibly dramatic. He'd ended wars, fought gods, and yet the thrill never lasted. Every day blurred into the next, each grand adventure reduced to mere background noise in his overpowered existence.

Then, without warning, a glowing portal tore open behind him. A voice, deep and resonant, echoed through the room.

"Summoner of the Bored Heart… we have noticed your despair."

Yuto groaned, turning slowly. "Oh, fantastic. More attention. Can't it just be a normal, boring day?"

From the portal stepped a parade of impossibly stylish and overpowered figures: a neon-haired wizard juggling flaming skulls, a cyborg knight riding a unicorn, and a shadowy figure crowned in thorns. Their leader stepped forward, voice commanding yet theatrical.

"Your boredom disrupts the balance of existence. We are here to… fix it."

Yuto tilted his head, deadpan. "Or you could just bring snacks."

The dragon huffed beside him, smoke curling lazily into the air. Even it seemed to agree.

And just like that, Yuto's boring Tuesday took a sharp turn into something… entirely unavoidable.
