Raven's voice echoed in her mind as she knelt among the others, trembling beneath the foreign dominance pouring from him in suffocating waves.
Now she knew the answer to that question.
It was not mere anger. It was sovereign fury. The kind that bent spines and pressed foreheads to stone. But it begged the question why?
Why was he so affected by the name of the mate her personally slain?
Why was he reacting?
Was it not enough that he killed her?
His guards—hidden and visible alike—were suddenly insignificant beneath the weight of his power that flickered alive.
Before her, he suddenly seemed far larger than life.
It had nothing to do with how he towered over her.
Just as swiftly, that power was gone like it realized it was a mistake to reveal itself. Releasing its hold on them abruptly, Eclipse struggled to come up for air.
