Ellen's biggest fear as an actress was being involved in a scandal. If she were to get into a major problem that caused significant losses for her agency, she would have to pay a substantial fine. However, the scandal she's currently experiencing isn't due to her reckless behavior. Rather, it's because she was framed by her ex-boyfriend, which will undoubtedly impact her agency.
Upon arriving at the SL Entertainment building, she and Penelope entered the CEO's office with their heads lowered. She didn't dare look at the CEO, who was glaring at her now due to this strange scandal. Should she just admit it was all a trap?
Sora threw all the papers at Ellen's face, scattering them everywhere. Ellen kept her head down, trembling as she clutched her white dress. She was more likely the victim, but why did she now look like the real villain?
"Ellen! How dare you tarnish SL Entertainment's good name! What are you going to do now?!" Sora snapped.
"Actually, the incident last night wasn't about me!" Ellen protested firmly.
Sora laughed in annoyance, opening his tab screen and revealing a photo of Ellen swimming with Harley at the hotel. "So, what's this?"
"It was Harley who asked me out on a date with him over the phone."
"You really don't know your place! Just because you've become famous recently, you're acting recklessly!" She slapped her forehead repeatedly. "I saved your life before."
"Harley and I have been dating for a long time! I've never stolen anyone else's girlfriend!"
"But Harley never thought you were dating. Were you actually lying to me?!"
Ellen shook her head quickly, rubbing her palms together quickly. "Please! Trust me again! I never lied to you."
"Since you have tarnished the agency's reputation, you must leave your condominium now."
"What?!" Ellen and Penelope screamed in unison.
Sora flashed a sly smile. "Why? Are you perhaps upset that your place was suddenly confiscated by the agency?"
"Isn't it true that based on the contract, I only have to pay a fine?"
"It's written in the contract. But I'm sure you won't be able to pay it all at once. That's why your residence will also have to be confiscated."
Penelope clenched her fists tightly. "Why did you have to go so far with Ellen? Ellen has done so much for you."
"You better stay out of this, Penelope. You're just her manager."
Ellen immediately put both hands on the table and glared at the CEO. "Could it be that you trust a famous actress more than a newly famous one like me? And I'm the victim! Not the perpetrator!"
"Then, can you prove this is all a trap?" Sora smiled slyly, playing a video showing Ellen aggressively swimming with Harley. "From this video, I can conclude that you were the one who was chasing Harley all this time."
"But, it's all because I miss him. He and I haven't been able to go out much lately due to our busy filming schedules!"
Sora folded her arms. "Really? Harley could have always come home early."
"What?"
"Everyone on set witnessed Harley and Lauren's relationship. That's why everyone was so supportive of them starring in the same drama."
"Mother!"
Hearing the snake woman's voice suddenly appear in the middle of their serious conversation, Ellen turned to face the sly woman, who was standing in the doorway, with a pleading expression. What shocked her was the unexpectedness of Sora and Lauren's relationship, which was that of a mother and daughter. Sora had never treated Lauren like a daughter while she was at work.
Sora immediately greeted her daughter with a tight hug. "Lauren, are you okay?"
Lauren nodded. "Harley's already tried to talk to the media about our relationship, Mom. They definitely won't misunderstand."
Now Ellen understood the situation. Sora and Lauren were mother and daughter. They had undoubtedly been working together to oust her from the agency for a long time. Furthermore, Lauren had also been working with Harley to make it easier to oust her. Now she had no one to defend her at the agency except Penelope. Therefore, defending her now was like attempting suicide. Sora undoubtedly wanted to oust her quickly, by confiscating her accommodation. She should never have joined this misleading agency in the first place.
Lauren released the hug and slowly walked over to her enemy, who was still standing in the middle of the room. She put on a pleading expression and gently touched her tiny shoulder.
"I told you from the start. Don't mess with the agency. Now you're in big trouble. Where are you going to live from now on?"
Ellen laughed in annoyance, quickly pushing her enemy's hand away. "You don't need to worry about me anymore. You should just worry about your beloved boyfriend. Isn't your boyfriend a victim?"
"I feel sorry for you. If you hadn't been so greedy about stealing my boyfriend, you would still be an actress." Lauren brought her lips close to her enemy's tiny ear. "Now all the companies will definitely terminate their contracts with you. You'll have to pay them back. You'll never be an actress again."
"Thank you for being so considerate of me. But I don't need your pity. You're just a snake woman who dared to trap me just because I've been on the rise lately." Her hands were folded. "Could it be that you're addicted to filming intimate scenes with Harley so often that you continue them straight back to the hotel after filming?"
"What did you say?!" When Lauren wanted to slap again, this time Ellen held her right hand tightly.
"I'll definitely find proof that you stole Harley from me. I won't let you two live happily ever after."
"Instead of continuing to look for evidence, how about you think about your fate now? Aren't you afraid that your debts will pile up?"
Sora folded her arms and slowly walked over to Ellen, who still looked confident as she faced her daughter. "From now on, you're fired, Ellen! No agency will accept you."
