What Flint was thinking about was the simple date they were going to have on their day off. Flint remained silent as he enjoyed breakfast with his best friend at his residence. Various fun things they were going to do flashed through his mind. He hoped his friend wouldn't suddenly change her mind. After all, his friend had just gotten into a major mess yesterday in a public place. Would it be okay to go for a walk today after being humiliated yesterday?
He stared at his phone for a moment, then opened his social media. He saw a video circulating about the supermarket incident. Luckily, everyone was more supportive of his friend than the jerk, which made him smile with relief. He continued reading all the comments, which were full of insults against the man.
"Flint, what are you doing?"
Flint laughed awkwardly, setting his phone down on the table. "Thank goodness everyone's got your back now."
