Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 :Let's sign it

Capet Pictures' script for "my big fat greek wedding" was also recommended by Evelyn to several independent film companies, but it was likely to gather dust.

Management Company promotes actors, and of course, a series of things related to film and television.

Especially in the early 1990s, the bundled deals created by CAA, which packaged directors, actors, screenwriters, and a series of other personnel, increased CAA's influence and made it swell into a behemoth.

The profits of the film studios were diluted, and MGM, one of The Big Six, was declining and helpless, even constrained by bundled deals, but this also angered the other The Big Six film merchants.

Hollywood was ultimately dominated by The Big Six at the top, who jointly suppressed CAA.

Michael Ovitz, the chairman of CAA, who had been at the top of Hollywood's power list for three consecutive years, moved to The Walt Disney Company as president in 1995.

In just one year, he was directly dismissed by The Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner from the Board of Directors.

Michael Eisner was the Disney monarch, having presided over Disney for nearly twenty years, transforming a company with a market value of just over 2 billion US dollars into one worth 40 billion US dollars.

Who would dare to defy him?

Michael Ovitz was his childhood neighbor, and they had known each other for a long time.

If he didn't take Michael Eisner seriously, then he would leave.

The Big Six film companies are now all part of large groups, with immense financial power!

Last year's tech bubble made the merger of Time Warner and America Online a joke, but the Time Warner America Online Group is still a behemoth.

However, Time Warner and America Online have now split, operating as independent group companies.

Time came for Nia Vardalos to adapt the film script while continuing to perform on the stage of a Los Angeles theater.

This day, the performance was as usual, and the people performing on stage didn't pay too much attention.

But in the audience, there was one person who liked it very much.

Rita Wilson, 51 years old, also of Greek descent, worked hard in the American entertainment industry and deeply felt this phenomenon.

But she also had an important identity: she was the wife of American national Oscar Best Actor Tom Hanks.

After the performance, she went backstage and chatted with Nia Vardalos.

"I think this story can definitely be adapted into a movie and released, allowing more people to understand Greek customs and traditions.

I believe Tom will also be optimistic about it!"

After hearing Rita Wilson, Nia Vardalos was also somewhat surprised and said, "Someone approached me before and bought this script.

They are currently raising funds and preparing to develop the movie!"

"Oh, who is it?"

"ETA Agency Agent, Ms. Capet."

In the evening, in Xial's rented apartment, Evelyn came to her son's doghouse with a joyful expression.

"Xial," Evelyn knocked on the door.

"What's wrong?" Xial opened the door, holding many newspapers in his hand, his mind full of money.

"Nia Vardalos called me.

Mrs. Hanks is interested and will persuade Tom Hanks to lead this movie!"

"Mom, you can't sell the script.

I want to be involved in the movie.

Tom Hanks can lead it, but I also want to be one of the film producers, and I also want my share of the revenue." Xial quickly pulled his mother in.

"Mom, you don't know the value of this movie right now; it will be bigger than you can imagine!"

"Alright, they only said they were interested, they haven't agreed yet.

When they look for me, you can come with me, and you can also meet Tom Hanks." Evelyn certainly envied big stars; although she had met many, none of them were her subordinates.

"That's good!" Xial was relieved.

Xial wasn't excited about celebrities; what excited him were the resources and capital of celebrities.

"Wait for the notice.

I haven't seen you working recently, so come with me to the company's mailroom tomorrow!"

"Uh, alright!"

Los Angeles in September was as warm as ever, and the California sunshine was always abundant.

Yes, it was indeed a great place to drive a convertible.

The ETA Agency headquarters is located at the end of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Xial arrived at the company in a suit and tie.

The receptionist checked his information and led Xial into the mailroom.

The mailroom of a management company was truly famous; many agency giants and big figures in the entertainment industry had served as assistants in the mailroom in their early years.

However, 95% of people couldn't stick with it.

The first day of work quickly began, and Xial finally understood why many people couldn't do it.

"Xial, help Charlie buy a coffee, and bring Lina some fries and chicken nuggets;"

"Oh, and after that, help Shawn pick up his custom-made dress from the tailor, remember not to get it dirty;"

Buying coffee, buying fries, picking up clothes, then printing files, moving boxes... In the afternoon, he drove to deliver a check to a big star who was having a party on a yacht, and in the evening, he helped book a table... Xial was indeed a bit confused; this was truly an assistant!

ETA, logically speaking, was just a rookie among management companies, having only been established for six years.

It became one of The Big Six because it brought in many stars and Agent when it was founded.

After working diligently at ETA for a few days, he didn't receive any news from Tom Hanks and his wife, but instead, he heard about the events in New York.

Americans were somewhat afraid, the most direct manifestation being that many big Hollywood stars no longer took private planes but traveled by business jets.

Xial ran errands, answered calls, and printed files, enjoying himself immensely, at least he could learn a lot of Hollywood news, right?
