Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Makima's Finger of Death

Su Modie knew very well that Madame Gao's current situation was actually quite precarious.

It was only 2011; she had likely just started construction and hadn't dug up a damn thing yet.

Not to mention, even if she had finished digging, she wouldn't be able to get the Dragon Bone at all.

Because the final door leading to the Dragon Bone's burial site was sealed with a K'un-Lun seal by an ancient Iron Fist.

To open that door, one needed the Chi of an Iron Fist.

Yes, an Iron Fist, but not Aina's Iron Fist—rather, the Iron Fist of 'Spirit as Grand as a Rainbow!'

To be more precise, it wasn't actually that Iron Fist either.

Iron Fist isn't a single person, but a title.

There have been over sixty Iron Fists from ancient times to the present, passed down through generations.

In Su Modie's Universe, the most recent Iron Fist would be Danny Rand, who would form the Defenders with Daredevil, the lawyer Lawyer Ma, in a few years.

For Su Modie, this white hero who mastered Chinese Kung Fu was somewhat difficult to evaluate.

It wasn't because he was a foreigner.

Mainly because, by comparison, Su Modie still preferred the mature and steady Danny Rand from 'Ultimate Spider-Man,' as well as... the'Sword Immortal' Lin Lie.

"Spirit as Grand as a Rainbow!"

...Getting a bit off-track. Back to the negotiation scene.

Sitwell obviously didn't believe such nonsense either.

"Fossils?" He raised an eyebrow exaggeratedly, as if he had heard a joke. "Madame Gao, are you telling me that for a few dinosaur bones, you would go as far as to use your ninjas to blockade a block?"

"Everyone has their own obsessions."

Madame Gao countered neither humbly nor arrogantly.

"Since they are cultural relics, you shouldn't mind letting me have a look, right?"

Sitwell approached another step, his tone hardening: "After all, if they are dangerous goods, I'll have to reassess the risk. But if it's really just a few old bones... I don't think S.H.I.E.L.D. would go so far as to confiscate an elderly person's collection."

"We treat the elderly very well. Think of it as... helping me write a report when I get back, how about it?"

This was a 'checkmate' move.

If you say it's a relic, then let me see it.

If you don't, then you're hiding something, and that's a breach of contract.

Madame Gao's expression turned completely cold.

She obviously couldn't produce them.

Never mind that she hadn't found them yet.

Even if she really had dug up the Dragon Bone, it was the lifeblood of The Hand. How could she possibly show it to this insatiable bald man?

Their relationship, bound purely by interest, was as fragile as paper.

Once the other party knew the true value of the Dragon Bone, they would likely be double-crossed on the spot.

"Mr. Sitwell." Madame Gao's fingers tightened slightly on her cane, a chill of warning entering her voice: "Our original agreement was very clear. You take the money and keep your eyes closed; we give the money and handle the business."

"The clause for curiosity is not on our payment list."

"Furthermore..."

Her clouded eyes looked directly at Sitwell: "There are no rare treasures, only a pile of dirt that hasn't been cleared yet."

"The Agent is being difficult."

"Being difficult?"

Sitwell put away his smile, his gaze turning sinister: "I feel more like Madame Gao doesn't consider us true friends."

Since both sides had talked to this point.

Su Modie knew the time was ripe.

"Since the conversation is going nowhere..." A playful light flashed in Su Modie's eyes: "Makima, don't let the atmosphere die."

Hearing this, the corners of Makima's mouth curled up slightly—

The negotiation had reached a dead end.

A cold wind swirled between the two.

Sitwell's hand had already quietly pressed onto the Glock pistol at his waist.

Behind him, the row of well-trained Agents did the same.

"It seems there is a lack of basic trust between us."

Madame Gao sighed, appearing to regret this uncouth situation.

She raised her hand, covered in age spots, and gave a light wave.

Receiving the order, two elite ninjas suddenly stepped forward.

"Zheng—"

Bright katanas were unsheathed half an inch, the cold light sharp and biting.

But it was limited to that; Madame Gao's intention was clear.

They wanted to let the bald man in front of them know that The Hand was not to be trifled with at will.

It was just to give Sitwell a small deterrent.

Of course, Madame Gao wouldn't dare kill a high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent.

The trouble that would bring would be far more than what they were facing now.

Sitwell was indeed startled, and his greedy eyes cleared up a bit.

This guy was a coward.

Su Modie knew very well that without third-party interference, The Hand and HYDRA would most likely each take a step back.

After all, the original plot was that The Hand continued to dig for the Dragon Bone honestly, and S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't say a word.

Could Su Modie tolerate this?

Boring! I want to see blood flow like a river!

Just as Sitwell was about to open his mouth to back down.

Makima, sitting in the luxury car and observing everything, tilted her head slightly, her golden eyes narrowing.

Her slender fingers tapped lightly on the leather armrest, and then... "Swish!!"

The two ninjas who were just about to sheath their swords suddenly lunged without any warning. Their speed was so fast they left afterimages on the retina, driving their blades directly into the chests of the Agents closest to them!

"Puchi!"

The dull sound of sharp blades piercing through fabric and flesh was particularly jarring in the silent night.

Hot blood splattered onto Sitwell's glasses, staining his vision a crimson red.

Sitwell was completely stunned. By the time he realized what had happened, his face turned deathly pale.

It wasn't just him.

On Madame Gao's usually calm face, shock appeared for the first time, as if someone had secretly changed her keybindings.

"Wha...?!"

This was completely different from the order she had given!

"Bastards! You're absolutely insane!" Sitwell screamed in terror. Clearly, he hadn't expected the other side to actually dare to strike. He scrambled backward toward the car: "Fire! Return fire!!"

"Bang bang bang bang bang!"

Gunfire erupted.

The already taut string snapped completely.

The HYDRA Agents no longer cared about cooperation. They held down their triggers and didn't let go, dense bullets pouring out like a rainstorm.

Although those ninjas hadn't received an attack command from Madame Gao, the moment they were attacked, they instinctively began to fight back.

The scene instantly spiraled out of control, turning into a meat grinder where flesh and blood flew everywhere.

"Stop! You fools! Who told you to attack?!"

Madame Gao waved her cane to deflect a few stray bullets, shouting loudly.

But it was useless.

「villainess value +153」

「simulation value +162」

Just as the chaos reached its peak.

Tap, tap, tap.

A set of footsteps, completely out of place with the surrounding sounds of slaughter, rang out abruptly.

At some point, a figure had appeared at the edge of the battlefield.

Makima wore a black trench coat, her hands in her pockets.

Her long red hair drifted gently in the night wind as she strolled leisurely toward the center of the meat grinder.

A red-clad ninja, eyes red with bloodlust, happened to block her path.

This ninja had just cut down an Agent. Turning to see Makima, he instinctively swung his blood-dripping katana down.

Makima stopped in her tracks.

She didn't dodge; she simply pointed her finger nonchalantly at the opponent.

You're not allowed to join the orgy!

The ninja's body suddenly froze, and then... it was as if he had been squeezed hard by an invisible giant's hand.

The ninja's upper body instantly underwent a horrific distortion, and then—

Boom!

The entire person exploded directly into a cloud of blood mist!

Shattered bones and mangled flesh splattered in all directions.

The visual impact of this strike was simply too strong.

Hearing the sound, Madame Gao whipped her head around, and the scene immediately made her hair stand on end with fear.

She looked up at Makima, her pupils shrinking violently.

"You... who are you?!"
