Chapter 212 - Chapter 208: Can't you Villainesses... just get along peacefully?

As soon as the words fell, a slightly lazy and elegant figure appeared out of thin air before everyone.

It was the Angel Devil, Angel.

"Children, it's me again. Called out for overtime by Old Makima once more..."

Without any wasted movement, Angel casually raised his right hand and made a light grasping motion toward the void.

A sharp spear, radiating a thick, ominous aura and condensed from lifespan, instantly took shape in his palm.

Immediately after, he threw it with a sudden burst of strength from his wrist.

That spear was like a bolt of black lightning, piercing through the sky at an incredible speed.

It impaled the Beetle, who was fleeing at full speed mid-air, in a single strike.

The mechanical battle suit was damaged, bursting into a cloud of black smoke.

Before Abner could even let out a scream, he lost his balance in mid-air and fell crookedly toward the street below.

Having finished this, Angel turned his head with an indifferent expression, his fair fingers gently tucking a strand of reddish-brown long hair, blown messy by the wind, behind his ear.

That uninterested look made it seem as if he had only done a trivial little thing.

Standing to the side, Bronski was stunned. He stared blankly at Angel's beautiful face, which looked inhumanly pretty and even carried a hint of cold, fragile elegance, then looked at his indifferent expression.

Thump, thump.

Bronski could clearly hear his heart, which had never wavered despite countless life-and-death situations on the battlefield, actually starting to throb uncontrollably.

"Truly... such a cute girl..."

The Angel Devil in Bronski's eyes

Clearly, although both were now subordinates under Makima's Control, Bronski didn't know Angel at all.

This was their first time meeting.

In mid-air, the intense feeling of weightlessness made Abner subconsciously look back. Through the pink lenses of his helmet, he glanced toward the roof of that dilapidated apartment.

Just this one glance made him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.

He saw the pink-haired woman standing at the edge of the rooftop. Dozens of pitch-black chains were extending from her abdomen, with the other ends connected to the suit-clad Agents lying in ambush nearby, as well as that burly man and the red-haired young... girl who had just thrown the spear.

Abner had no idea what that scene meant, but he felt an inexplicable, skin-crawling fear.

In the second he locked eyes with Makima from across the distance.

He felt as if he were being watched by some terrifying creature that transcended human understanding.

Before he could think further, the ground slammed hard against his back, and his vision went black as he lost consciousness.

On the roof, Makima withdrew her calm gaze and turned to look at Angel with a smile.

"Thank you for your hard work, Angel."

Angel curled his lips indifferently, not at all impressed by this verbal praise.

If possible, he just wanted to get off work and go home to lie down.

However, Makima changed the subject and added, "Prepare to head back, Angel. How about I take you out for ice cream?"

Hearing this, Angel's previously dull eyes suddenly lit up. The faint angelic halo above his head seemed to brighten a bit as well. Ignoring his aloof image, he nodded vigorously.

"Okay! Thank you, Miss Makima!"

Before long, S.H.I.E.L.D. logistics personnel arrived to pack up and take away the heavily injured and unconscious Abner.

This guy even appeared in "Ultimate Spider-Man"... Doesn't he look even more like a Kamen Rider? He even has a belt; he's not even trying to hide it anymore.

Makima found an ice cream truck at the corner of the street that hadn't closed yet.

She ordered a vanilla one for herself and handed a double-scoop strawberry one to Angel.

Angel seemed to have a special fondness for ice cream.

Holding the cone like a kitten, he licked it in small bites, his fair face filled with a look of satisfaction.

This scene made Bronski's heart nearly melt as he stood there.

Perhaps because the gaze was too intense, Angel stopped and turned his head in confusion.

Because he was eating his favorite ice cream, his eyes were curved with a hint of a smile as he spoke:

"What is it? Do I have ice cream on my face?"

That smile made the battle-hardened Bronski blush instantly.

He hurriedly looked away and stuttered out two words:

"No... nothing."

Makima slowly scooped her vanilla ice cream with a small spoon, her peripheral vision catching their interaction, though she didn't bother to point it out.

Thus, Beetle Abner was successfully subdued!

The next targets were, naturally, "Boomerang" Fred Myers and "Scorpion" Carmilla Black.

The former was just a street Thug who liked playing with Boomerangs, and once again, an enemy of the little spider.

But the difference was that after turning over a new leaf, he had even been buddies with Spider-Man.

His strength was nothing special, taking no effort to deal with, but the latter... the situation was a bit subtle.

At the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, it was currently time for the monthly routine quiz assessment.

In the training ground, Annie was undergoing a practical test for the close-quarters combat subject.

Right then, Annie suddenly sensed Makima's intention to recruit Camilla into the Thunderbolts.

This sudden information caused Annie's mind to waver slightly.

In that brief moment of distraction, the robustly built female student opposite her seized the opening and slammed a heavy, powerful elbow strike into Annie's cheek.

Annie retreated two steps, her head lowered, as a trace of bright red blood seeped from the corner of her mouth.

The female student opposite her was about to slide forward to press the advantage.

Annie suddenly looked up, a hint of killing intent erupting in her blue eyes. She didn't even wipe the blood from her mouth; using the momentum of leaning back, her waist suddenly exerted force, and she lashed out with a fierce, unparalleled spinning roundhouse kick like a whip.

The muscular girl opposite sensed the danger and reacted quickly, instinctively raising her arm to protect the side of her head, intending to tank the blow.

However—"Crack!"

A scalp-numbing sound of bone fracturing echoed through the training ground.

Annie's whip-like leg actually kicked and broke that thick arm clean through!

The muscular girl couldn't even let out a proper scream, her features contorted in pain.

Clutching her arm, which was bent backward at a bizarre angle, her massive frame slammed onto the ring floor like a log, twitching twice before she was literally knocked unconscious by the pain.

The instructor on the sidelines was startled by this ruthless killing move, his eyelids twitching, but having seen it all before, he quickly waved for the emergency medical team, who had been waiting outside, to carry her off on a stretcher.

Clearly, after being put through the wringer by problem students like Annie and Camilla lately, the academy's emergency procedures had become quite refined.

Annie gave a cold glance to her opponent, who was surrounded by medical staff, and walked to the sidelines.

Avril was waiting there early, her eyes sparkling with pink hearts, as she diligently handed over a clean towel.

"Annie-chan, that move just now was so cool!"

Annie gave a light chuckle, not commenting on this fangirl remark.

She took the towel, wiping the sweat from her fair neck while speaking coldly in her head: "I don't agree."

Annie expressed her attitude to Makima, "I don't agree to Camilla joining the Thunderbolts."

Adorably fierce.
