This isn’t a story of a noble knight or a savior. This is the tale of a cynical knight in the hack-and-slash game world with the maximum difficulty setting. 

No system to help him.

No status panel to notify his progress.

No HUD to give him hints.

However, one hope remains. The knight “Crow” retains an in-game ability. By shattering objects or defeating enemy leaders, he can summon random game items as if the world itself is still a game. With a pet crow "Cow-Cow" by his side, the Crow Knight trudges through this treacherous land, armed with sarcasm, stubbornness, and a knack for minding his own business until fate decides otherwise.

Also, please do not speak in caps. He hates it.

Oh, did I forget to mention that his pet crow has three legs? What? It isn't important? Never mind, then.

At the training ground, seniors and their bodyguards were already warming up. As soon as they saw us, they waved.


"Yeah," I replied. "The maids failed to kill us last night."


"Did they give you the juice?" a female knight snickered.


Their laughter grew louder. One approached. "So, what was the side effect?"


"Just black sweat. What? You expected something lewd?"


The girls cackled while the men shook their heads.


Oh boy. They might have used the crucifix and toys. Fortunately, I didn't fall for it.


While we chatted, more students and knights arrived. Seniors headed straight to their usual gathering spot, reserving the best seats like it was a concert. Freshmen, however, stood awkwardly at the edge of the field, looking lost.
