Chapter 3 - The King of Soldiers' sister?

Fang Ming muttered to himself. After saying this, his originally tense nerves slowly relaxed, and he leaned back into the leather seat, regaining his usual calm and self-possessed demeanor.

At this moment, the messages in the group were still constantly refreshing.

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "@Nameless Guide, speak up. Don't think playing tricks will scare me. My tactical goggles are the latest tech from the US Federation and have no internet functionality. How on earth did you project text right in front of my eyes?"

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "And these two shills, you're acting quite convincingly. Has the fraud syndicate expanded its business to the Middle Eastern battlefield now?"

Through the text, Fang Ming seemed to see a tough guy covered in gunpowder smoke, lying behind a sand dune, cursing at the air while staying alert for enemy snipers.

Immediately after, the ID named [Marvelous Doctor of Chinese Medicine] also spoke up.

[Marvelous Doctor of Chinese Medicine]: "Brother, please do not be angry. Hearing your irritable words, your liver fire must be too strong. Continuing like this will be very harmful to your body."

[Peking University]: "Although I don't know what's going on, can you guys stop arguing? I'm busy memorizing vocabulary words!!"

Three group members, three different wavelengths.

Fang Ming took a deep breath, stubbed out his cigarette on the ground, straightened his tie, and typed a line of text in his mind.

[Nameless Guide]: "Everyone, please calm down."

[Nameless Guide]: "Meeting is fate. Since this Myriad Heavens Mutual Aid Group has chosen you, it is naturally because you possess... potential that ordinary people can hardly match."

[Nameless Guide]: "However, before we formally communicate, I need to calibrate everyone's plane coordinates to prevent communication interruptions caused by space-time turbulence."

After sending this, Fang Ming's heart pounded.

He needed to first determine if these people were in the same plane as him, and then decide how to proceed.

Hearing Fang Ming's words, the group fell silent for a moment.

After all, terms like 'plane coordinates' and'space-time turbulence' were still quite impactful for people living in an urban setting.

A few seconds later, that rational Top Student was the first to ask.

[Peking University]: "Plane coordinates? Parallel world theory?"

[Marvelous Doctor of Chinese Medicine]: "That's a bit far-fetched."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "..."

[Peking University]: "Today is Sunday, July 12, 2026. I just finished a set of '5-3' Comprehensive Science papers."

[Marvelous Doctor of Chinese Medicine]: "Um... I don't know what date it is today, but based on the time I've been cultivating in the mountains, the year and month should be about the same as the person above."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "How is this being made to look so real? Fine, I want to see what you're trying to do."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "I just checked my watch. My current location is in the GMT+3 time zone, and the local time is 2:00 PM. Converting to Xia Country time, it's exactly 10:00 AM. If you are all in Xia Country, then we are indeed on the same timeline."

It was confirmed.

Fang Ming had always thought the plane he transmigrated to was just a parallel world similar to Earth. Now it seemed this was clearly a world where multiple novels merged.

Wait? Fang Ming suddenly thought of something!!

If the people in the group were protagonists, could his boss Qin Xiao be a villain? Given his arrogant, overbearing, and predatory persona, it was entirely possible.

If Qin Xiao was a villain, then he was a villain's lackey?? Holy shit!!

[Nameless Guide]: "Very good. The time anchor has been confirmed. Your plane coordinates highly overlap; it seems you weren't scattered by space-time turbulence."

[Peking University] sent a 'trembling with fear' emoji: "Um... great group owner, from what you're saying, are we all in the same world? Are you... an immortal?"

For a high school student still worrying about living expenses, this kind of supernatural phenomenon was clearly beyond their comprehension.

The corners of Fang Ming's mouth curled up slightly. He didn't answer directly, but instead acted profoundly mysterious.

[Nameless Guide]: "I wouldn't say I'm an immortal, just an idle person rolling around in the mortal world. Since we've met by chance, if you ever face an insurmountable obstacle in the future, feel free to speak up in the group."

To maintain his image as an expert, even though he knew these people were protagonists, it was impossible for Fang Ming to suck up to them.

Being too enthusiastic would make him look like a scammer, while being too cold would make it impossible to establish authority.

This kind of aloof attitude was the best way to manipulate people's hearts.

Sure enough, as soon as this sentence was sent, the originally wary [Soldier King Lone Wolf] couldn't sit still anymore.

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "@Nameless Guide, since we're all in the same plane and you have such heavenly means, can you give us some details? Where is your true body right now?"

These words contained a probe, as well as a trace of imperceptible anticipation.

Fang Ming narrowed his eyes.

Exposing his location? That would be suicide.

But if he didn't provide some real substance, these protagonists wouldn't easily take the bait.

Fang Ming thought for a moment and decided to give a vague range.

[Nameless Guide]: "There's no harm in telling you. This old man is currently in a city in the southwest of Xia Country, enjoying the prosperity of the mortal world."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Southwest? group owner, you're in southwest Xia Country?? Are you near Rong City??"

As soon as the word'Southwest' appeared, the reaction on the other side of the screen was even greater than Fang Ming had imagined.

Even through the screen, Fang Ming could feel the urgency in this Soldier King's tone.

[Nameless Guide]: "Very close. Is something the matter?"

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Great, heaven never seals off all exits. Can you do me a favor??"

[Marvelous Doctor of Chinese Medicine]: "Weren't you just shouting about fighting and killing? Now you're asking for help? (dazed.jpg)"

The Soldier King ignored the Divine Doctor and spoke directly in the group.

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Big boss, to tell you the truth, I'm currently in this godforsaken place in the Middle East. Even if a fly tried to fly out, it would be blasted down by the militants here with anti-aircraft guns."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Interpol also has a file on me—a Red Notice. Returning to the country now would be like walking into a trap."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "But my sister is still in the country. When the human traffickers separated us back then, she was only five years old... All these years, I've dreamed of finding her."

Looking at these lines, Fang Ming roughly understood.

A classic Soldier King opening.

Possessing extraordinary skills, surrounded by enemies everywhere, unable to return to his country—his only weakness was his long-lost relative.

[Nameless Guide]: "You want me to help you find your sister??"

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Yes. Whether she's alive or dead, I want news of her. I beg of you!!"

He had already put on the act; could Fang Ming refuse at this point?

Anyway, when the time came, whether she could be found or not would just be a matter of his word.

After hesitating for a moment, he sent a message.

[Nameless Guide]: "Send your sister's information over."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Okay. Her name is Chu Yao. If she hasn't changed her name, she should still be called that."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "She's about nineteen this year. Her specific birthday is the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month."

[Soldier King Lone Wolf]: "Back then, we were out playing and encountered human traffickers. To protect her, I told her to hide and gave her my only jade pendant before leading the traffickers away by myself..."

While Soldier King Lone Wolf was still recounting his life story in the group, Fang Ming was already stunned where he stood.

Although he had a premonition—after all, there are only so few novel tropes—when the name 'Chu Yao' actually appeared on his retina, he still felt a chill run up his spine.

His gaze involuntarily drifted toward the passenger seat.

That light blue folder thrown over by Qin Xiao was lying there quietly.

On the two-inch photo on the first page, the girl's cold eyes seemed to pierce through the paper, staring at him chillingly.

Written clearly below the profile: Chu Yao, female, 19 years old, freshman in the Foreign Languages Department of Rongcheng University, birthday... fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month.

"Holy crap..."
