Shinsu watches the boy rushing at him, rolling his eyes from Kai's minimal mana control. "Hey kid. Try remaining calm and breath deeper. After all, your heart beat should be at a certain pace. One's preference of course" he says smiling, turning to the boy as he stares him down, almost like a motionless, unbreakable wall blocking one's path.
Kai tuts, his eyes glued to his foe. "Are you tryna give me tips at a time like this? If so then you must be hella cocky and add that with your stupidity" Kai says, stopping mid run as he watches his foe do something unusual for once. "Sighing?" Kai mutters, fist no longer clenching but his eyes narrowing.
"Well I gues-"
"Shutup" Kai says, cutting the creature off with a smooth uppercut to his head. The demon looks down to the blow, sighing again. But this time he sighed with one screeching of disappointment.
"This is pointless Kai, we're not enemies and in fact we're allies. Should be".
The demon pushes the fist off with a mere finger, following up with a gut twisting blow to Kai's ribs, leaving the annoyed child on his knees as blood tickles down from his mouth.
Shinsu bends down. "Maybe even friends if you'll allow that". The demon smiles, the rain in the sky suddenly stopping as Shinsu gives his hand out to Kai, his eyes suddenly filled with contentment. Or in other words. The type of eyes that are ready to see a whole new world of adventure.
"Well what about you? We can help recover your brother together. Back from the dead even". The white haired demon awaits for a response, his eyes still calm yet his mind is already predicting what will happen next.
The child coldly looks down at the ground. His expression is unreadable with a face that clearly lacks emotion.
"Allies". Kai mutters, looking up to Shinsu. "Alright then" he says, taking Shinsu's hand. They both shake, a new alliance seeming to form of devil and child until..
"Hey what are yo-". The demon's word gets stuck in his throat as Kai grabs his throat with his unshaken hand squeezing it with a malicious intent. The demon pants for air, tapping Kai's hand repeatedly but Kai doesn't even budge.
"Allies. Allies. What type of nonsense do you demon's think of huh? Cuz after all you're still his other half I can tell. You may not be that Shinsu but to me you both ate the same. And besides". The black haired boy's grip becomes tighter. "You remain a stranger to me and Raikou. So shut up with this alliance piece of crap".
Kai's hand emits a small essence of purple, throwing the demon's head through the cold mud as he sprints toward a tree. "And not to mention I'd work better alone". He takes a quick look at the white haired demon, slamming his head into a tree, cracking it and the boy's head. The demon is left unconscious and his head is left on the dirt. Humiliated.
"Utterly pitiful" Kai says, vanishing in a blink as he reappears at the same spot. The only difference is that he now wields a shimmering blade in his left hand. He flashes it to the demon's head, inches away to decapicate. "I'll make this quick" Kai growls, lifting his blade whilst engulfing it in a purple aura.
"Now after you.. I'll come for the next one. The one who killed my brother".
The blade has swung.
