The academy transport aircraft cut through the morning sky like a dark arrow.
Inside the large cabin, dozens of students sat in rows of metal seats, each carrying their small bags and quiet expectations for the future. Some looked out the window with excitement, watching the city shrink beneath them. Others talked loudly about how they would soon become powerful hunters.
Leo sat near the window in silence.
His expression was calm, almost unreadable.
Below the aircraft, the human domain slowly passed beneath them—tall defensive walls, guard towers, weapon platforms, and long roads connecting districts filled with people struggling to survive.
Beyond those walls lay something very different.
The Outer Lands.
Broken forests.
Collapsed cities.
Dark territories where monsters ruled freely.
The pilot's voice suddenly echoed through the cabin speakers.
"Attention new students. We will arrive at Astra Dominion Academy in five minutes. Please remain seated."
Excited murmurs spread across the cabin.
Students leaned toward the windows eagerly.
Leo simply watched.
As the aircraft moved forward, the academy finally appeared.
It was massive.
Much larger than Leo had imagined.
The Astra Dominion Academy was built like a fortified city. Tall reinforced towers rose into the sky. Large training arenas filled the central grounds. Protective barriers surrounded the entire campus, glowing faintly with advanced magic and technology.
It was not just a school.
It was a military fortress designed to create warriors.
The aircraft slowly descended toward a wide landing platform inside the academy walls.
The moment the transport touched the ground, the cabin doors opened with a loud mechanical hiss.
Fresh air rushed inside.
"Students, disembark in an orderly line!" a loud voice commanded.
One by one, the students stepped out onto the landing platform.
Leo followed quietly.
The first thing he noticed was the atmosphere.
The academy felt different from the city.
The air was heavier.
Filled with traces of mana and combat energy.
Many powerful individuals were present here.
Students looked around in awe.
Instructors stood nearby wearing dark uniforms, watching them carefully.
These instructors were not ordinary teachers.
Each one was a professional hunter, someone who had survived real battles against monsters and demons.
Their eyes were sharp and experienced.
A tall instructor stepped forward.
He looked to be in his mid-thirties, with short black hair and a long scar running across his jaw.
His voice was deep and commanding.
"Welcome to Astra Dominion Academy."
The students fell silent immediately.
"You are here because you passed the entrance examination. But don't misunderstand something."
He paused.
"Entering the academy does not mean you are strong."
Some students stiffened.
"In fact," he continued coldly, "many of you will fail within the first year."
The crowd shifted uncomfortably.
"This academy trains warriors who will fight monsters, demons, and beings that humans were never meant to face."
He pointed toward the massive training grounds behind him.
"Here, weakness is corrected."
His finger moved slightly.
"Or removed."
The message was clear.
This was not a place for comfort.
This was a place where survival meant strength.
Leo listened quietly.
Nothing the instructor said surprised him.
War had always been cruel.
Even across universes.
The instructor continued.
"Before you begin training, you will be assigned to student dormitories and basic classes."
He held up a tablet.
"Your names and dorm assignments will appear on the display screens around the courtyard."
Students quickly began looking around for the large holographic boards that had activated nearby.
Names began scrolling down the lists.
Students searched anxiously.
"I'm in Dormitory C!"
"Hey, me too!"
"Dormitory A? That's for top scorers!"
Leo scanned the board calmly.
Eventually he found his name.
Leo – Dormitory D
The lowest dorm category.
Reserved for students with the weakest entrance scores.
Some students nearby laughed quietly when they noticed.
"Lower district kid."
"Not surprising."
Leo ignored them completely.
Dormitory rankings meant nothing to him.
Power was not determined by a label on a building.
The instructor clapped his hands once.
"Students, follow the academy guides to your dormitories. Training begins tomorrow at sunrise."
The crowd slowly dispersed.
Leo followed the signs leading toward the dormitory buildings.
The academy grounds were enormous.
Training fields stretched across large open areas where advanced combat drones moved around automatically.
Weapon practice zones were filled with students already sparring under instructor supervision.
Magic training towers emitted faint flashes of elemental energy.
Everywhere Leo looked, the same thing was clear.
This place existed for only one purpose:
To create fighters strong enough to protect humanity.
After several minutes of walking, Leo finally reached Dormitory D.
Compared to the other buildings he had passed, it was simple.
A rectangular concrete structure with several floors and minimal decoration.
But it was still far better than the house in the lower district.
Inside, a student manager handed him a small key card.
"Room 312," the manager said casually.
Leo nodded and walked upstairs.
The hallway was quiet.
When he reached his room, he opened the door slowly.
Inside were four beds.
Three were already occupied.
Three boys looked up when Leo entered.
One was tall and muscular with short brown hair.
Another wore glasses and looked more nervous than confident.
The third had messy black hair and a relaxed expression.
The messy-haired boy spoke first.
"Oh, new roommate?"
Leo stepped inside and placed his bag on the empty bed.
"Yes."
The muscular boy looked Leo up and down.
"You're from the lower district, right?"
Leo nodded.
"Yeah."
The boy crossed his arms.
"Well… welcome to Dorm D. The academy's weakest squad."
The messy-haired boy laughed.
"Don't scare him already, Ryu."
Then he turned toward Leo.
"I'm Kai."
He pointed toward the others.
"That's Ryu… and the quiet one is Milan."
Leo nodded slightly.
"I'm Leo."
Kai smiled casually.
"Nice to meet you."
Ryu shrugged and returned to organizing his equipment.
Milan gave a small nod but didn't say much.
For a few moments, the room became quiet.
Then Kai suddenly asked,
"So… what kind of ability do you have?"
Leo paused slightly.
He answered honestly.
"None."
Kai blinked.
"None?"
Ryu turned his head immediately.
"You're non-awakened?"
Leo nodded calmly.
For a moment the room was silent.
Then Kai burst out laughing.
"Well… that's definitely rare in this academy."
But strangely, he didn't sound mocking.
Just surprised.
"Guess we'll have to work extra hard together then," Kai said.
Leo sat down on his bed quietly.
Outside the window, the academy lights began turning on as evening approached.
Students walked across the grounds, preparing for the intense training that would begin tomorrow.
Leo looked out at the massive academy campus.
His new life had officially begun.
A place filled with future hunters.
Future heroes.
Future legends.
And somewhere among them…
A being who once ruled an entire universe.
Leo closed his eyes slowly.
Deep inside his chest, the sleeping god remained calm.
For now.
But the moment it awakened…
The world itself would change.
