Chapter 102 - Depart

Kenmyo Isayama looked at the uncorked bottle in his hand. Inside, a vibrant red potion fizzed with bubbles. A single drop of pure blood-red amber adorned the white bottle, flanked by a pair of spread, pristine white angel wings.

The bottle was exquisitely crafted, like a work of art, but it contained a buff-type potion he had redeemed from the Inquisition's Honor Merit Store.

[Bloody Honor Potion]

Origin: Warhammer - Blood Angels Chapter

Quality: Radiant Gold (will degrade to Pale Gold in two hundred years)

Type: Permanent Buff Potion (dilutable)

Effect 1 [Blood of Sanguinius]: Upon single consumption, all attributes are permanently increased by thirty points (permanent), and health regeneration speed increases by 500 points per second (permanent), but there is a seventy percent chance of experiencing the terrifying states of "Blood Thirst" and "Black Rage."

(Note: Diluting in batches and suppressing with psychic power can alleviate the two negative states above.)

Effect 2 [Black Rage]: Intravenous injection, maximum health increases by fifty-five percent (permanent), and reflex nerves increase by ninety percent for fifty seconds, physical defense increases by 50 points (maximum damage exemption of twenty-five percent) for fifty seconds.

Rating: 1600++ (Note 1: Radiant Gold equipment ratings range from 1000 to 1600; higher-rated items are more valuable.)

Description: Worthy of the blood of Sanguinius, even after the long river of ancient ages, the passion remains uncooled.

Price: Original price 9800 Honor points, current price 3000 Honor points (Sold out)

(Note: This potion is discounted due to quality degradation from prolonged storage.)

Perhaps those old-timers in the Inquisition had forgotten that there was still a bottle of "aged vintage wine" from a bygone era in their safes.

How it came to be had already been lost to records; perhaps the Inquisition and the Blood Angels Chapter made some dirty deal back then to obtain this ancient version of the Blood of Sanguinius.

This was why Kenmyo Isayama was able to acquire it at a low price. After all, they couldn't have imagined that a terrifying entity would turn the Inquisition's internal collection into a detailed list, clearly marking effects and prices for selection.

The potion's effects were incredibly powerful, specifically designed to enhance the physical body.

A single injection would provide Kenmyo Isayama with permanent attribute gains equivalent to what he might achieve from three S-rank D-level simulations.

After all, the original purpose of such an item was to recruit new Blood Angels Chapter members, enhancing their physique so they could formally undergo the most terrifying Space Marine surgery.

But even then, it only offered a chance to survive the implantation of Sanguinius's gene-seed into the Blood Angels.

This ritual was called the "Blood Sacrament."

The reason it had remained unused in the Inquisition for so long was likely due to its excessively severe side effects, making recipients virtually indistinguishable from heretics.

Especially the "Blood Thirst"; once it flared up, one would transform into a vampire—no, at its worst, one would instantly become a ghoul.

A soul-deep craving for fresh blood. If one didn't drink blood for a day, the suppression would worsen over time, leading to a leap from drinking blood to needing to consume flesh.

At that point, drinking the blood of their own kind would no longer suffice. Astartes Monkss of the Blood Angels Chapter would eat humans, preferably steaming hot and devoured raw with gusto.

Eating a complete criminal would bring more satisfaction to a Blood Angel than drinking the blood of a hundred people.

In the eyes of an Inquisitor of the Inquisition, who saw everyone as a heretic, this was an absolute sign of falling to Chaos.

But if you claimed it was a Chapter tradition, and with the Emperor's special dispensation, the Inquisition had no way to touch them.

However, if an Inquisitor contracted the Blood Thirst, wouldn't that be equivalent to giving "leverage" to his colleagues for impeachment?

That would be hilarious; he wouldn't live long, he'd be burned to death long ago.

So this item had been dormant for an unknown number of years, unused. It was highly probable that it had existed since the very founding of the Inquisition.

But with such an opportunity for a thirty-point attribute boost right before his eyes, could he really miss it?

Kenmyo Isayama's physical fragility was a fact, an absolute weakness. Without preparation, a heavy sniper rifle could easily take his life, leaving him with no sense of security. Once his physical strength improved, he would be much safer in all aspects.

As for the seventy percent chance of side effects, it didn't matter; the warhammer simulator would intervene.

Kenmyo Isayama's anger and hatred had all been taken by the warhammer simulator, not a single trace remained!

This extremity would also be greatly suppressed!

Black Rage, full name Black Rage, is a state where Blood Angels warriors, consumed by extreme fury, enter complete madness.

Tens of thousands of times more severe than mere emotional distress, Astartes Monkss, their minds clouded by rage, cannot distinguish between past and reality, nor recognize former comrades. He might believe himself to be Sanguinius on the verge of death, with the bloody betrayal of Warmaster Horus raging around him, unable to tell friend from foe.

In such a situation, if Kenmyo Isayama didn't acquire this potion, he truly wouldn't be human.

However, even after acquiring the potion, Kenmyo Isayama couldn't use it immediately. His current body was Macarnus-Elfman, an Inquisitor of the Inquisition, not Kenmyo Isayama's original body.

During the simulation, the system's built-in backpack could not be used, but items Kenmyo Isayama purchased from the Inquisition Honor Store could be temporarily stored.

When Kenmyo Isayama's simulation ended, he could directly check them in his backpack.

With this bottle of "Blood of Sanguinius," even if Kenmyo Isayama returned immediately, he wouldn't consider it too much of a loss; at least he had a baseline item!

As for the other goods in the Inquisition Honor Store, their prices were generally so high that Kenmyo Isayama couldn't even dream of affording them.

The Emperor's personal writ establishing the Inquisition, unexpectedly found in the treasury of the most recently founded Inquisition.

Ten million Honor points.

Dreadnought: one million five hundred thousand Honor points.

Horus's armor wreckage: four million Honor points.

However, if there was a chance to perfectly complete the system's side quest and acquire those one hundred thousand Honor points, the armor set worth one hundred thousand Honor points could be purchased.

After all, while its owner was still alive, this armor could only serve as a display. If he died, it could be placed in a memorial hall or similar.

But for Kenmyo Isayama, it was already an incredible piece of equipment.

After all, it was imbued with the Emperor's blessing, the strongest individual in the Imperium, and this armor essentially bore witness to the Inquisition's might, having been bathed in the blood of countless heretics and demons.

That was the power armor worn by the current supreme leader of the Inquisition, Lord High Inquisitor and Chief Judge Fyodor Karamazov, during his time as an Inquisitor of the Inquisition.

He was a tenacious and resolute witch hunter! The most radical opponent of heretical beliefs and bio-mutation, he dealt with those who came into contact with these vile things with an almost fanatical attitude.

The sheer number of heretics he eliminated was unparalleled even in the Imperium's 40K history; if this Inquisitor claimed to be second, no one would dare claim to be first.

The Inquisition became the most terrifying department in the Imperium, and this old man certainly played a significant role in that.

His contributions were so immense that after the successful purification of Abraxan in 930.M41, Karamazov was awarded the Inquisitorial Throne (servitor: strictly speaking, a Dreadnought fitted with a chair), and this Dreadnought became a symbol of his power and prestige.

Such a legendary figure's power armor from his youth, whether for its symbolic or practical significance, even if it was dilapidated, Kenmyo Isayama would buy it for one hundred thousand Honor points.

Besides, this power armor could be repaired with points, so there was no question of buying junk for one hundred thousand Honor points.

It was only because Karamazov was still alive; otherwise, the exchange price for this power armor would have at least tenfold, Kenmyo Isayama had caught a good time.

There was another item Kenmyo Isayama also greatly desired.

Imperial Apothecary's Compendium, which Kenmyo Isayama understood to be something akin to a skill book.

[Imperial Apothecary - Beginner to Master]

Origin: Warhammer Imperium (?) Knight Chapter

Quality: Pale Purple

Category: Knowledge-based Skill Scroll.

Prerequisites: Psyker Level Zeta or Epsilon or higher, some knowledge of pharmacy.

Familiarity with explosives.

Intelligence attribute 40 points or higher.

Effect: Grants mastery of common apothecary knowledge in the Imperium (can create permanent buff potions).

Rating: 1700 points (Epic-grade items are rated 1600-2600 points).

Description: A Knight (?) who can't utilize explosives or throw exploding shurikens to pierce armor is not a good apothecary. This is definitely a legitimate apothecary's encyclopedia.

Price: 10000 Honor points.

Kenmyo Isayama's reason for being interested in this item was simple: red letter redemption contained a significant amount of knowledge about magic potions, all collected by his Mentor Ahriman. Many potion-making methods were lost and unique.

However, Kenmyo Isayama was hindered by being an illiterate layman, lacking knowledge of pharmacy, and unable to understand the contents.

Kenmyo Isayama had also searched the Inquisition Honor Store with a tentative mindset, and this time, he truly found it.

An introductory, enlightenment text for apothecaries.

"Damn it, I'll go execute that traitorous Inquisitor first."

Kenmyo Isayama now had the motivation to earn money. He immediately took action, picking up his communicator and dialing Elena's contact number.

The call connected quickly, but strangely, there seemed to be the sound of water and a slight echo from a confined space on the other end, as if she were showering.

"Makonos, sir?"

Elena asked, puzzled.

"Elena, special mission from above."

"We need to depart."
