Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Harvest

Night fell.

Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Warm yellow light illuminated an old school building.

It was originally a warehouse used for storing miscellaneous items; its location was remote and eerie, a place even stray cats usually couldn't be bothered to visit.

But Gojo Satoru was a man of his word. Since he had given Lynn the title of "Jujutsu High Logistics Consultant," this unwanted plot of land was left for him to do with as he pleased.

This was exactly what Lynn wanted.

Remote meant secluded, and being secluded meant it was convenient to conduct some shady business.

"Phew..."

Lynn locked the heavy wooden door and hung up a "Closed for Business" sign. He then slumped onto a red velvet sofa he had scavenged from a second-hand market like a puddle of mud, completely disregarding his image.

Exhausted.

This wasn't physical exhaustion, but rather extreme mental overexertion.

Chatting and laughing in front of Ryomen Sukuna and haggling under Gojo Satoru's pressure was like tap-dancing on two nuclear launch buttons. One wrong step would mean being blown to smithereens.

"But..."

Lynn raised his hand, took off his gold-rimmed glasses, and rubbed his aching temples.

"It was all worth it."

He snapped his fingers.

The air vibrated slightly as a pale blue system interface, visible only to him, emerged from the darkness.

[Current Balance: 50,070 points.]

Looking at that string of numbers, a smile characteristic of the nouveau riche finally appeared on Lynn's pale face.

In this high-risk world of "Jujutsu Kaisen," this was the capital that allowed him to stand tall.

"Time to spend."

Lynn sat up straight, rubbed his hands together, and scanned through the rows of items.

He knew very well that what he needed most right now was to improve his physique first.

Although he possessed a heaven-defying rule-based ability that could force trades, his actual body was just that of a slightly healthy modern corporate slave.

Forget about Special Grade Cursed Spirits; even a sneak attack from a Grade 4 Cursed Spirit could bite his neck clean off.

If he encountered Cursed Spirits of Jogo or Hanami's level, the heatwaves and pressure they released alone would be enough to rupture Lynn's internal organs.

"Heavenly Restriction (Complete Body)... Price: 500,000 points."

"Six Eyes Bloodline... Price: 400,000 points."

"Special Grade Sorcerer Physique... Price: 300,000 points."

Lynn's mouth twitched.

There were indeed many good things, but they were also truly expensive.

"I can't reach the heavens in a single step right now."

"I don't need to be able to take Sukuna head-on, but at the very least... I need to be able to survive the aftermath of a Special Grade battle and not die from taking a couple of punches."

After some careful screening and calculation, his finger stopped on a highly cost-effective option.

[Item Name: Basic Jujutsu Sorcerer Physique Enhancement (Second-Grade Level)]

[Type: Physical Modification]

[Description: Through the washing of Cursed Energy, the physical strength of an ordinary human is raised to the standard of a 'Second-Grade Sorcerer.' Enhances cardiopulmonary function, muscle density, and neural reaction speed.]

[Price: 15,000 points.]

[Note: While you won't be tearing Cursed Spirits apart with your bare hands, you'll at least be a superhuman.]

"A Second-Grade Sorcerer's body is enough."

Lynn calculated. In this world, a Second-Grade Sorcerer was already an elite capable of performing solo missions; they could run a marathon without losing their breath and wouldn't die instantly from being punched.

"Purchase!"

[Ding! Transaction confirmed. 15,000 points deducted.]

[Modification beginning...]

Intense pain surged like a tide.

"Ugh!!"

Lynn bit down hard on the sofa's armrest, veins bulging on his forehead. This wasn't just modification; it felt like his entire skeleton was being broken and reassembled, and every muscle fiber was being torn and reconnected.

Ten minutes later.

This inhuman torture finally began to fade. Lynn was drenched in sweat, looking like a fish that had just been pulled onto the shore.

But he could feel that his body had changed.

The heaviness from years of office work had vanished, replaced by an unprecedented sense of lightness and fullness.

He clenched his fist, and his knuckles let out a crisp cracking sound. That sense of power made him feel as though he could punch through a wall right now.

"Now that I have the means to stay alive, next is... a Cursed Technique."

Lynn put his glasses back on and looked at the balance.

[Balance: 35,070 points.]

His current means of attack relied entirely on buying disposable items or using "Rules" to force pressure, which was too expensive and lacked a conventional output method.

Lynn's eyes quickly browsed through the [Cursed Technique] column.

Suddenly, his gaze froze on a familiar technique.

[Item Name: ratio technique(Improved Version)]

[Type: Innate Technique]

[Effect: 1. Forced Weakness: Divides the target's length into ten parts and creates a weak point at the 7:3 ratio. Striking this point forces a critical hit.]

[2. Soul Vibration (New): When a weak point is successfully struck, the resulting shockwave ignores physical defense and transmits directly to the target's soul, causing brief soul dizziness or structural damage.]

[Price: 20,000 points.]

"Mr. Nanami's technique... and an enhanced version?"

Lynn's eyes lit up.

The original Ten Shadows Technique was already a divine skill for physical attacks, known for allowing "even a blunt knife to cut through steel."

And this improved system version actually added a "Soul Attack" attribute!

What did this mean?

It meant he now had a natural counter against Mahito, who possessed "Idle Transfiguration" and could only be killed by attacking the soul.

Furthermore, Soul Vibration could cause dizziness.

This was a total nightmare for Jujutsu Sorcerers, who needed to remain clear-headed at all times to manifest their techniques.

"Bought!"

[Ding! Transaction confirmed. 20,000 points deducted.]

[Cursed Technique circuit implantation in progress...]

This time, there was no intense pain.

Only a cool stream of air surged into his brain, then quickly diffused throughout his entire body.

A vast amount of knowledge regarding geometry, division, and striking angles was carved into Lynn's mind like instinct.

The world changed in his eyes.

He looked at the hard solid wood coffee table in front of him.

In his vision, black ruler lines emerged on the surface of the coffee table.

And at the 7:3 division point, a bright red dot was flashing slightly.

That was the "Dead Line."

The flaw in all things.

Lynn casually grabbed a cheap plastic fountain pen from the table.

With a flick of his wrist.

"Strike!"

The pen turned into an afterimage, piercing that red dot with pinpoint accuracy.

"Vrrr—!!"

The next second.

"Crack."

That thick solid wood coffee table snapped cleanly into two halves, starting from the point of impact.

The cut was as smooth as a mirror, as if it had been sliced by a laser.

At the moment of the break, Lynn clearly felt an invisible wave spread from the tip of the pen, causing even the dust in the surrounding air to vibrate.

"Is this... Soul Vibration?"

Lynn looked at the pen in his hand.

Just now, if a living person had been standing there, not only would their body have been severed, but their brain would likely have turned to mush as well.

"Perfect."

Satisfied, Lynn clipped the pen into his chest pocket.

With this move, he was no longer a defenseless shrewd merchant, but an assassin who could break through an opponent's "physical + mental" defenses at any time.

[Balance: 15,070 points.]

In the blink of an eye, only a fraction of his fortune remained.

Lynn felt a bit of a sting, but he knew that this last bit of money absolutely could not be spared.

In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, there was one move that was every sorcerer's nightmare—Domain Expansion.

Once pulled into a domain, the opponent's attacks were guaranteed to hit. If he encountered freaks like Mahito or Jogo who could open domains, Lynn would be a dead man no matter how good his body or how strong his technique was.

He had to have a countermeasure—namely, "that."

"Simple Domain."

Lynn searched.

[Item Name: Simple Domain (Auto-Trigger Version)]

[Type: Passive Skill / Barrier Technique]

[Description: No hand signs or incantations required. When the system detects the host is inside an enemy "Domain," it automatically deploys a spherical barrier with a 2-meter radius to neutralize sure-hit effects.]

[Price: 15,000 points.]

"This pricing... you're doing this on purpose, aren't you?"

Lynn looked at his balance and gritted his teeth. This was meant to squeeze every last penny out of him.

But to stay alive, he had no choice.

"Buy!"

[Ding! Transaction confirmed. 15,000 points deducted.]

[Current Balance: 70 points.]

Back to square one in an instant.

Looking at that pitiful balance, Lynn slumped back onto the sofa, powerless.

The thrill of being a nouveau riche vanished, replaced by a deep sense of crisis.

"Out of money."

"I don't even have enough money to activate the 'Creditor Protection Mechanism' once."

Lynn stared at the ceiling and muttered to himself.

Right now, although he had the body of a Second-Grade Sorcerer, a technique that could strike the soul, and a Simple Domain, his core deterrent—that rule system based on "points"—was temporarily out of commission.

He had to make money.

He had to find new high-quality customers as soon as possible.

Knock, knock, knock.

Just then, someone suddenly knocked on the heavy wooden door of the old school building.

Lynn's gaze sharpened.

Who could it be at this hour?

Lynn sat up straight, straightened his slightly disheveled shirt, and put on that gentle, professional fake smile again.

Even if he was broke, he had to keep up appearances.

"Come in."

The door was pushed open, and the night wind rushed in.

Standing at the door was a young girl wearing a Jujutsu High uniform.

She had her hair in a high ponytail, wore glasses, and held a long-handled naginata that was taller than she was.

Her eyes were stubborn, yet they betrayed a long-suppressed longing.

Zen'in Maki.

"I heard a new convenience store opened here?"

Maki walked into the room, her sharp gaze scanning the surroundings before finally landing on Lynn, filled with scrutiny.

"That idiot Gojo said you can buy anything here."

Maki slammed the naginata onto the floor with a heavy "thud."

"Is it true?"

Lynn looked at the girl in front of him and smiled.

He had just been worrying about money.

And now, hadn't a fat sheep... oh no, a high-quality customer, just delivered herself to his door?

"Of course it's true, Maki-san."

Lynn stood up and made an elegant "please" gesture.

"No matter what you want."

"As long as you can pay the 'price'."

"In this Exchange No. 8..."

"There is no deal that cannot be made."
