Chapter 15 - Blue Silver Grass Bind

On the way back to the Seventh Dormitory, Tang San's mind still echoed with his teacher's words.

He could tell his teacher harbored a deep prejudice against Spirit Hall.

There had to be some hidden grudge behind it.

Frankly, up to now Tang San's own impression of Spirit Hall was actually quite good.

But a teacher for a day is a father for life.

Since Spirit Hall was his teacher's enemy, it was therefore his enemy as well.

Tang Sect Disciples have always drawn a clear line between friend and foe.

Against enemies they show no mercy.

Although Spirit Hall had helped him awaken his Spirit, that was only a small favor—far from enough to sway his resolve.

Besides, the one who'd helped him awaken had only been Su Yuntao.

Su Yuntao is Su Yuntao; Spirit Hall is Spirit Hall.

The two can't be lumped together!

Once he reasoned it out, Tang San felt much more at ease.

Soon he was back at the Seventh Dormitory.

At this hour The people of the Seventh Dormitory were each busy with their own tasks.

Seeing Tang San return, they simply greeted him casually.

Because Yang Yuan had already told them, they weren't surprised by his sudden reappearance.

Xiao Wu greeted him too.

But her appearance at the moment gave Tang San a fright.

"You… you're Xiao Wu?"

It wasn't Tang San's fault; her delicate face was now streaked with blue and purple, swollen like a pig's head.

It was simply too miserable!

If not for her clothes and trademark scorpion braid, Tang San might not have recognized her at all.

Xiao Wu nodded sulkily, secretly gnashing her teeth at Yang Yuan.

Tang San's face darkened with anger. "Who was so vicious as to beat you like this?"

"Xiao Wu, tell me. I'll avenge you."

Hearing this, The people of the Seventh Dormitory looked surprised.

Tang San and Xiao Wu had barely spoken since meeting—when had they become so close?

Even Xiao Wu was taken aback.

But her eyes quickly rolled as a mischievous idea popped up.

She glanced at Tang San, a sly gleam in her eyes.

Little San, if I'm the only one with a pig's head, how embarrassing would that be?

So come keep me company!

With that thought, she put on a pitiful face, her big watery eyes fixed on Tang San.

"Little San, Yang Yuan bullied me. You have to stand up for me!"

Despite her swollen face, those eyes made Tang San daze for a moment.

He snapped out of it and spun toward Yang Yuan.

"Yang Yuan, did you do this to Xiao Wu?"

Up close, Tang San's fury was obvious—his breathing ragged, eyes faintly bloodshot.

Yang Yuan raised his brows, studying Tang San's state with interest.

So this is the famed "eyes crimson, breath like a bull"?

Looks like Tang San hasn't finished his ultimate evolution yet.

"I did it. What are you going to do?" Yang Yuan said with a smile.

He could see through Xiao Wu's little trick at a glance.

He didn't mind adding another human punching bag.

"Good that you admit it!" Tang San clenched his fists, facing Yang Yuan word by word.

Wang Sheng and the others, seeing things escalating, hurried to explain.

After all, Xiao Wu and Yang Yuan had fought a fair duel.

But Yang Yuan raised a hand to stop them.

Since Tang San wanted a fight, Yang Yuan was happy to oblige.

He'd been looking for a chance to copy Tang San's Tang Sect Ultimate Skills—now one had delivered itself.

He pointed toward the door and strolled over.

"If you want to fight, fine, but not in here."

"Then let's change the place!"

Tang San set his bundle on a bed and strode after him.

Once the two left, Xiao Wu chirped gleefully, "This is going to be fun to watch."

The rest of the Seventh Dormitory twitched at her words.

This girl really needs a spanking!

Unfortunately, none of them were strong enough to do it.

In all Nuoding Academy, probably only Boss Yang could keep her in check.

The commotion quickly drew a crowd trailing behind the pair.

Xiao Chenyu came up beside Wang Sheng and asked.

"That kid following Boss Yang—is he the Blue Silver Grass Spirit Master Tang San you mentioned?"

"He's challenging Boss Yang too?"

Having been thoroughly convinced by Yang Yuan, Xiao Chenyu had become much friendlier to the Seventh Dormitory.

Wang Sheng nodded.

"Don't underestimate him. When he first arrived he traded a dozen moves with the boss before losing."

Xiao Chenyu was startled.

Before even getting a spirit ring he'd lasted a dozen moves against Boss Yang?

Now that he had one, did he think he could actually defeat him?

Why were all the freshmen this year so monstrous?

A short while later.

Back hills of the academy.

Yang Yuan and Tang San stood thirty-odd meters apart.

Tang San had deliberately opened the distance.

The effective range of his First Spirit Skill, Blue Silver Grass Bind, was fifty meters.

So of course he wanted every meter he could get.

Even with his first spirit ring absorbed, he dared not take Yang Yuan lightly.

"Yang Yuan, you're strong,"

"but you still haven't absorbed your first spirit ring."

"Today you will definitely lose!"

Tang San finished calmly and raised his right hand.

A pale light flared; a deep-blue Blue Silver Grass sprouted from his palm.

"Tang San's first spirit ring is actually a hundred-year ring too!"

When the yellow ring rose beneath his feet, cries of astonishment burst from Xiao Chenyu and the others.

Tang San ignored them. The moment his grass appeared he struck.

He knew Yang Yuan's Eye Martial Soul had terrifying insight, so he had to catch him off guard.

The hundred-year ring flashed.

Blue Silver Grass's First Spirit Skill activated.

Blue Silver Grass Bind!

Tang San whipped his arm.

A dozen thick deep-blue vines shot out without warning, incredibly fast.

But Yang Yuan tapped the ground and sidestepped, evading the Binding and closing in.

He dodged that easily!

Tang San's pupils contracted.

Yet he regained composure at once.

He flung several more vines at Yang Yuan.

This time, however, the vines flew much slower.

Though they could still bind, they weren't a Spirit Ability and far weaker.

Again Yang Yuan slipped past them with casual grace, step by step narrowing the gap.

Thirty meters.

Twenty meters.

Only ten meters left.

A sharp gleam flashed in Tang San's eyes. His left hand shot downward in a claw grip.

Tang Sect Ultimate Skill: Controlling Crane Catching Dragon.

Several nearby pebbles flew into his grasp.

With the stones in hand, he hurled them all in an instant using Hidden-Weapon techniques.

Though thrown with one hand, each stone flew on a different trajectory.

Some in straight lines, others in arcs.

spirit power made them blindingly fast, ripping the air with a whistle.

At the same instant.

Chaos light flickered within Yang Yuan's double pupils; Tang San's Hidden-Weapon method was copied in a blink.

No technical content—duplicated instantly.

All while he continued to dodge.

Yet just as Yang Yuan evaded.

Tang San's eyes suddenly lit.

Now… Blue Silver Grass Bind!

Strike when the enemy is unprepared!
